  1. Dave Hall is an alternative vocal to Jimmy Mack's "Go On" (B side of My World Is On Fire)
  2. 21 x 45's - all original - most EX/M - £10 each + post or £150 the lot including postage
  3. Dean I never went to Cleethorpes mate so can't answer that one - Russ, Pep and Richard all played Paris Blues at Wigan end of 76
  4. I've got one Tommy
  5. No idea Russ it's just a case of where lines are drawn. We know damn well that even if we did offer the playlist that any royalties would only go into a pot and the named artist wouldn't get a cent
  6. Well the dj's going to have to present them with his playlist...
  7. I sold one for £800 on Sunday for someone. Took me 5 minutes. With facebook I was able to advertise it to over 15,000 people. I also think I auctioned the only unplayed copy of The Del Larks ever to come up for sale, last year. So please consider me. LOL. Or take my advice, sell them yourself then you don't pay anyone commission...
  8. I mean that is shocking really. When I auction anything, the second the money comes in, I transfer it to the owner of the record. I sold one yesterday on someone's behalf for £500, he knows that money will be in his account tonight. When I sell stuff I charge 50% for £20 and under, 20% up to £1000 and then negotiable after that but it comes down, usually 15% or 17.5%.
  9. What like all these dj's paying PRS fees to the artists whose records they play you mean? They write down every record they play and then send a percentage of so that the artist can benefit...hey why not give all artists a share of the money when you sell a second hand record, despite the artist having already been paid for that session 50 years ago. So OV Wright was buried without a headstone, who's fault is that, he had 30 years of recording contracts and sold a lot of records...
  10. I thought I might do a series of these mixes featuring tracks made famous by the top Northern Soul DJ’s in the 70’s. Obviously, many DJ’s played the same records but I’m going from memory and audio evidence from tapes I recorded at the time. Richard was responsible for breaking more newies than anyone (with the help of ace soul supplier John Anderson) and his later period spins are amongst the best records ever played on the scene in my opinion. That Eddie Garrigan is still sh*t though. There may be one or two ‘speed’ problems on this, I promise this is the last time I ever use the old decks, I’ll go back to two separate turntables from now on, it’s too much hassle keep trying to mend the old ones. Anyway this is a brilliant set of sounds, and to spare Richard’s blushes I didn’t include Gary Lewis & The Playboys… THE EMBERS – WATCH OUT GIRL RICHARD (POPCORN) WYLIE – ROSEMARY WHAT HAPPENED THE INSPIRATIONS – NO ONE CAN TAKE YOUR PLACE EDDIE REGAN – PLAYIN’ HIDE AND SEEK JOEY HEATHERTON – WHEN YOU CALL ME BABY JIMMIE RAYE – PHILLY DOG AROUND THE WORLD JAY D MARTIN – BY YOURSELF LILLIE BRYANT – MEEET ME HALFWAY LYDIA MARCELLE – IT’S NOT LIKE YOU SHANE MARTIN – I NEED YOU PAULA DURANTE – IF HE WERE MINE TONY MIDDLETON – PARIS BLUES THE YUM YUMS – GONNA BE A BIG THING VICKIE BAINES – COUNTRY GIRL EDDIE GARRIGAN – I WISH I WAS JOHN LEACH – PUT THAT WOMAN DOWN BETTY BOO – SAY IT ISN’T SO JIMMY BURNS – I REALLY LOVE YOU EDDIE PARKER – I’M GONE JOE MATTHEWS – AIN’T NOTHING YOU CAN DO BEN ZINE – VILLAGE OF TEARS LARRY CLINTON – SHE’S WANTED THE 7TH AVENUE AVIATORS – YOU SHOULD O’ HELD ON THE NOMADS – SOMETHIN’S BAD JOHN & THE WIERDEST – CAN’T GET OVER THESE MEMORIES THE PROFESSIONALS – THAT’S WHY I LOVE YOU MOSES DILLARD – I’LL PAY THE PRICE COURT DAVIS – TRY TO THINK (WHAT YOU’RE DOING) THE GROUP – I DON’T LIKE TO LOSE LESTER TIPTON – THIS WON’T CHANGE AL WILLIAMS – I AM NOTHING WILLIAM POWELL – HEARTACHE SOUVENIRS BILLY HAMBRIC – SHE SAID GOODBYE ARIN DEMAIN – SILENT TREATMENT RAMONA COLLINS – YOU’VE BEEN CHEATING ROSE VALENTINE (LITTLE ANN) – WHEN HE’S NOT AROUND https://www.mixcloud.com/mayfairmenthol/northern-soul-richard-searling-spins-revisited/
