  1. Eh?
  2. I discovered this years ago, and thought it may have a chance of doing something so I lent that original copy to someone who was going to get it played out, I never saw it or him again as I said Pete, keep watching UK reggae on ebay, I've had three or four off there. Did you buy the "Heather" version off me? Brilliant, and better.
  3. So do I. Example, King George, got or had a black issue recently, never seen one before. Demo is £20, as you say...
  4. I'd say just over half that, but everyone would ignore me
  5. Right well my friend has got BOTH versions for sale but is being a bit coy about what he'll accept for either, I suppose I should try to get some concrete offers put to him, though this saga has been going on for years to be honest.
  6. Oh doesn't the podcast have me on it Joan? I thought it would do. I'll post it myself and put the link here when done. Thanks for listening and the comments above everyone. * podcast doesn't appear to be up yet and I can't upload it for some reason - 2 hour show, maybe file is too big? Can't even attach the file to mixcloud uploader.
  7. Just a quick reminder about this, 10pm tonight, cheers
  8. So did I
  9. I'd have to check the log.
  10. It does. What more could anyone want in a Northern Soul record, Epitome is a very fitting name.
  11. It's a spoof. Topic on here about it long long time ago.
  12. I found it quite a strange experience to be honest, I didn't realise every track was meant to be discussed and I had nothing with me to refer to so I had to make the lot up on the spot. Don't think I made too many mistakes. I"m sure someone will let me know if I did. Had to have a little laugh though, at the end I was asked if I wanted anything playing and I said oh right well my favourite record is the Yum Yums but I love things like Bari Track, Al Kent, Willie Tee (and a few others) and it's edited to say "can you play the Yum Yums and I really love Joannie Sommers" - which is actually true - but it just sounds amusing, you'll see what I mean...
  13. I'M ON THE RADIO TONIGHT IF ANYONE'S INTERESTED — PHIL GOTT WAS IMPRESSED WITH MY RECENT PODCAST "BRILLIANT" AND HE ASKED ME IF I'D BE INTERESTED IN TALKING A LITTLE ABOUT THE TRACKS WHICH MADE UP THE PODCAST, SO WE DID THE INTERVIEW AND IT GOES OUT TONIGHT. I'VE ALREADY HEARD IT AND I THINK IT'S A PRETTY ENJOYABLE COUPLE OF HOURS. THE TRACK LISTING IS BELOW THE STATION INFO. HARTNSOUL Radio Show broadcast on Phoenix FM 96.7. 14. £15 on both issur - £25 for US demo, £75 for UK demo
  15. Whoever bought Lou Christie sure has his finger on the Northern Soul pulse...
  16. Well they wrote the B side so there's a chance they wrote the A as well..
  17. Really hard to price. It looks great and is going to be ultra-ultra-rare, but you have to find a buyer for it. We've all had interesting overseas releases which we had big hopes for (e.g. I had a Belgian American Poets) but it really is a minority interest. Took me ages to sell the Italian Chapter Five! I couldn't put a price on the Chubby Checker, I'd invite offers I think.
  18. Yuk! Disgusting. Still can't get properties of photos up to put the actual pic, sorry. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NORTHERN-SOUL-MOD-45-RARE-WHITE-DEMO-EDDIE-GARRIGAN-I-WISH-I-WAS-/261099069232?pt=UK_Records&hash=item3ccab79f30#ht_500wt_1414
  19. You know what Dave, I hard that for the first time this morning when I got it, it's brilliant, it's got a little bit of a riff in there, might be Just Ain't Enough Love or Soulful Strut.
  20. The grey and white Aurora's are all, or nearly all, demos Robb, the demo of this is grey and white, the blue stock copy is very tough to find and I've had one in 15 years.
  21. Just talking on another topic and I mentioned that on the original Shrine tapes that turned up, there was a version of I Want To Hold Your Hand (The Beatles song) on these tapes, it was by a male vocal group, so can someone who had these tapes (this was the early 90's) please confirm that I am not going mad and it does exist?
  22. Can't remember but it was in the very first batch of Shrine tapes that surfaced, someone on here will know. I'll try and find out..
  23. No but I did have a Shrine recording of I Want To Hold Your Hand! (True!)
