  2. Phil Swern - the guy who produces Sounds Of The 60's and Pick Of The Pops? He bought a record off me a couple of years back; The COD's - Michael - Stateside.
  3. Yeah sorry, I thought they were all supposed to be 66
  4. That clipping is weird because on the right it mentions Emerson Lake & Palmer but they didn't release an album until the 1970's...so is it a composite of two different articles? Surely not from the 60's.
  5. Well I've got my own website with stacks of space but it's done in wordpress and I don't have a clue how it works! Someone does it for me, I only know how to add new titles and remove them.
  6. I would say there were no 13 year olds going to Wigan, we were 16 when we went and were terrified of not getting in, how could a 13 year old get in? I see people saying I was 13, I was 14, so parents let their 13 year olds out all night back in the mid 70's did they? No they didn't. OK so there may have been some freak of nature type 13 year olds who looked older but if people think there were loads of 13 and 14 year olds attending the allnighters, sorry, that's just folklore.
  7. Somebody paid £900 for that??? £9 would have been too much.
  8. Yeah I know...I did 58 on Divshare, this was AFTER I'd already done ecommerce...hope someone buys sommat now!
  9. Thanks to everyone who helped out yesterday with that embedding problem. Ecommerce player was f*cked, it started encoding again today and then inserted 'invisible' players, so I had to do the entire lot again using Divshare, oh and then Ecommerce player started working again...they've wasted hours and hours of my time. To embed a Divshare clip in an Ebay listing I found you had to start in Standard, then go to HTML and paste it, and then switch back to Standard, and then the player appears. Anyway I have nearly 80 records up on Ebay, they start ending tomorrow, they are a mixture of Northern Soul, R & B, Rock n Roll, Girl Groups, Popcorn, 60's beat and goodness knows what else, everything but reggae really. And every one now has a sound clip so you can have a listen if you wish. This is the link PETE'S EBAY LISTINGS https://www.ebay.co.u...&_sop=12&_rdc=1
  10. I knew John when I lived in Hastings, circa 1987 he tried to put on a soul night down this club called The Crypt and I had to select the records for him to play. He was known as JD the DJ in those days. Another 'world famous' dj on the dance music scene, Danny Howells, I used to be his manager at a publishing company we worked for, he was a lovely guy and still is, am still in touch with him.
  11. Just changing them all over to divshare as we speak....
  12. Update on ecommerce player; the encoder is now working, so I just spent a total of 3 hours recording, converting, uploading tracks and then adding auction players to each ebay listing, I have 70 or so in all. Instead of inserting the player, it's inserted a blank f*cking space where the player should be.
  13. Don't misunderstand me - I don't think cheap records are worthless - I think cracked cheap records are worthless!
  14. I'll stick with divshare, I can't afford to buy anything at the moment after wasting £60 on ecommerce player
  15. I like it, it sounded really good, horns blasting everywhere, just not sure if it's the best Maybe I'm just too jaded now to get excited over records anymore. Didn't like the Junior Johnson clip though.
  16. If you look at the top one on Popsych, that's 100% original. The one in the sleeve looks extremely (maybe too) glossy but it's too small a picture for me to be certain about anything.
  17. It got booted on Soul Sounds in 70/71, thats probably what prompted the reissue?
  18. Yeah I'd bin that one, it's worth less than a tenner and you can easily replace that. Which reminds me, I got asked for that yesterday, better get onto it..
  19. Well as you weren't there it'd be best not to make such daft comments and read my playlist wouldn't it? And if you were painting your face with lightning strikes in 1976 you must have looked pretty daft as you were three years too late...
  20. ACCURATE Wigan Playlist 1976-77, so whats wrong with the tempo? LESLIE UGGAMS — DON’T YOU EVEN CARE (ATLANTIC) POOKIE HUDSON — THIS GETS TO ME (JAMIE) THE EMBERS — WATCH OUT GIRL (MGM) LILLIE BRYANT — MEET ME HALFWAY (TAY-STER) BOBBY HUTTON — LEND A HAND (ABC) NANCY WILSON — THE END OF OUR LOVE (CAPITOL) BILLY PROPHET — WHAT CAN I DO (SUE) RONNIE MCNEIR — SITTING IN MY CLASS (DE-TO) GARNET MIMMS — LOOKING FOR YOU (UNITED ARTISTS) GEORGE BLACKWELL — CAN’T LOSE MY HEAD (SMOKE) LOU RAGLAND — I TRAVEL ALONE (AMY) EDDIE PARKER — I’M GONE (AWAKE) GENE CHANDLER — I CAN TAKE CARE OF MYSELF (CONSTELLATION) THE REFLECTIONS — LIKE ADAM AND EVE (ABC) ADAM’S APPLES — DON’T TAKE IT OUT ON THIS WORLD (BRUNSWICK) JIMMIE RAYE — PHILLY DOG AROUND THE WORLD (KKC) YVONNE BAKER — YOU DIDN’T SAY A WORD (PARKWAY) SAM WILLIAMS — LOVE SLIPPED THRU MY FINGERS (TOWER) HERBERT HUNTER — I WAS BORN TO LOVE YOU (SPAR) BERNIE WILLIAMS — EVER AGAIN (BELL) WILLIE MITCHELL — THE CHAMPION (HI) DETROIT EXECUTIVES — COOL OFF (PAMELINE) POINTER SISTERS — SEND HIM BACK (ATLANTIC) THE FLIRTATIONS — STRONGER THAN HER LOVE (FESTIVAL) AL KENT — THE WAY YOU’VE BEEN ACTING LATELY (RIC TIC) LITTLE ANTHONY & THE IMPERIALS — BETTER USE YOUR HEAD (UNITED ARTISTS) BETTY BOO — SAY IT ISN’T SO (GRAPEVINE) THE YUM YUMS — GONNA BE A BIG THING (ABC)
  21. Don't be silly.
  22. Yes it was, although it doesn't get mentioned in the last JM price guide. I would doubt very much if the bootleg has the Virtue mark though. Sorry, not got one to refer to here. It was late 80's early 90's press.
  23. It's just that Wirl was one of the two biggest record manufacturers in Jamaica in the 60's and they weren't a 'press it in your garden shed' type of outfit - they were state of the art for the time. Anything pressed on coloured vinyl is usually of lesser quality than black vinyl though in my experience.
  24. I worked out what was up with embedding divshare on ebay. You have to paste it into 'standard', then click html, then go back to standard and the player appears. Steve, I've got nothing on Soundcloud to delete! Ecommerce is still not working and it's a disgrace.
