  1. The thing is that puzzles me about this, if you look at that link I put up in post number 4. There is absolutely no way they did two separate bootleg pressings of this, it just wasn't popular enough and there were a lot of originals around anyway. I think that pressing with the lighter yellow label is the fake, but the darker one is a 'second' original. I do, honestly.
  2. I mentioned Manship because he was the one saying it was flexi vinyl but both me and Paul Clifford had the record before it was pressed and neither of us remember it being flexi or having that stamp, so I actually launched a topic on it a few months back, the link is above. Sorry for the misunderstanding
  3. Do you want to know about the record or are you just trying to pick an argument with me, I answered your question so what's your problem?
  4. Says John Manship....
  5. Mr. M's? Was a big room monster. Must have been at least 500 arrive via Soul Bowl. Still very very hard to tell original from reissue though.
  6. I thought I had suspicious transactions going on in paypal today, 20 plus entries, all of which were fee reversals! Over £300 credited to my account. I thought I'd better ask them what happened. When you used to request a quick withdrawal, you were charged £5 for the service. They have now done away with that and refunded all of those £5 fees back to january. Nice!
  7. This is the problem with this site lately. People sucking the life out of it like vampires, the slightest bit of humour, oh no you can't do that, when certain people come on a topic it's like the whole happy atmosphere is sucked out of the window and we're all left feeling glum...this site has been in the doldrums for a while now, not helped by the missing refosoul but Christ if you can't make a remark about a guy who is obviously very rich (flies out to America every month on buying trips), who has 3 complete collections but doesn't appear to know anything about them, avoids answering the questions, then what can you actually do or say without people taking offence? It's like coming into work every day and doing a dull boring office job, now and again someone will liven it up a little until the suits come in and tell you to sit down and shut up.
  8. "record in int condition - looks new" Not in that photo it doesn't!
  9. I'd love to know how you draw your lines. Johnny Maestro great, Reflections not.
  10. Well thanks for sharing Russell but the interview was dreadful and the bloke had hardly anything to say, stop being such a drama queen.
  11. I just put one on Ebay, it's actually one of the very hardest bootlegs to tell, labels and vinyl are perfect, just doesn't have a machine stamped number.
  12. I agree with Dave (as usual). £100 - £125.
  13. He was asked twice what his most interesting / rarest record was. He didn't have a clue.
  14. I don't draw a line anywhere because I love Northern Soul but I also love 60's pop, so it's logical that I will really like an amalgamation of the two, this is why I like records like Ray Merrell, Joannie Somers, Chapter Five and so on. And also because they are great great records. I dislike bad pop records being played as Northern like Tim Tam, Muriel Day, but there's always room for good ones.
  15. Yours and the red issue at the top are both definite originals, everyone stop panicking!
  16. I prefer Stronger Than Me to I'm Standing myself.
  17. Changed all ebay log in details.
  18. Thanks for your help chaps. It's a fake.
  19. Pete some of those were only issued in plain white sleeves. The Jamaican ones, Summit, most probably K & B as well.
  20. Posted in here as related to ebay, I got this message, but the link goes nowhere and I can't find out what the item was - thats if there ever was an item with that number - is this some kind of fake email do you think? Hi, I purchased an item from your ebay store but i can not proceed with the payment. It seams that listing has been removed. Can you check it out? Here is the auction link: eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170671556256 Please let me know as soon as possibile. Regards, Roberto Rogue/Bonus link now removed for safety's sake.
  21. I want to pre-empt any nominations in this second by explaining why my pressings on ebay are so expensive: I wanted to list them at the same price as I did on my list, as an auction, and then add £5 on for a buy it now option, but when you start it at £30 you have to make your buy it now price 40% higher than the auction start price, which is making some of my prices look a bit high (for me). Still, after reading the post above, I'm still too cheap!
  22. Yeah I did, I have a record dream at least once a month, every single one has a label with full details, the brain must be f*cking phenomenal to make up information like that on the spot because they're never "known" records, some dreams I can look through whole rows of 'dream' records.
