  1. Anybody - You know on the left hand side at the top, there is something that says "flipcard", if you put the mouse over that does it give you some options, and do they actually work? Or is it just me who can use that?
  2. Could you just explain that - about having to scroll down to view each scan? When I see it I can see say 6 rows of records, click one of them and it opens up it's blog entry. To see more, I then have to scroll down.
  3. Erm...How could I fit all 300 scans in the top half of the browser without scrolling down, unless I made them 1cm square?
  4. I've been fiddling out with my blogsite and I think I have successfully changed the format so that it now shows you a page full of label scans, which you then have to click to get the details - works ok on mine, could someone try it out for me and see if it's working on a pc please? https://lostvinylgemsofthe60s.blogspot.co.uk/

  6. Yes but it was recently auctioned for a high price.
  7. The one with the really slow build up intro? I had it on a Spanish 45.
  8. I do realise how important original vinyl is, don't get me wrong, I just think we're at the stage now where we can't afford to be elitist because there just aren't enough people left to support that kind of scene. In a few years, all that will be left will be oldies events and giant Blackpool Tower Ballroom type events where the majority really do just go for a good time and don't complain when the projected 45 on the wall is on Disco Demand and not Wand.
  9. The 'majority' being about 30 people on Soul Source, the rest of the paying customers on the Northern scene not giving a monkey's otherwise they wouldn't turn up to the venues where these heinous crimes are committed, would they?
  10. So all those people missed out on hearing a record they would have loved to hear and dance to. What an absolutely ridiculous and needless thing to do Pete. Who would have given a flying f*ck if it was played off a TMG demo or cassette tape? Apart from you, I mean. I think this is taking things a stage too far personally, but obviously it's your event so you have to do as you see fit.
  11. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/7-HARLEM-SHUFFLE-BOB-AND-EARL-ORIGINAL-PRESS-Island-label-WI-374-/350551039115?pt=UK_Records&hash=item519e785c8b Bob & Earl on UK Sue with no centre... £50!
  12. He didn't actually say he had the CD but I knew he had the cd because he rang me weeks ago to see if I could get him the actual record as he didn't just want it on cd, so that's why I said he had the CD. Because he has.
  13. No quite sure what this actually means but you are very observant! I was in a totally different mood yesterday as I am today, thanks for noticing
  14. You do talk some rubbish sometimes. The boot of this was made 10 years ago. So he's hardly putting money into the hands of the manufacturers of the bootleg, he's putting into the hands of the dealer who is selling the bootleg. What's your tongue in cheek stance on that?
  15. Okay here's the info you wanted. Lead singer is Barbara Ann Williams. She is the sister of Juanita Williams of Golden World fame. Information from her nephew. I thank you.
  16. I've got listings of versions by: Blues Busters ken Boothe Dennis brown Johnny Clarke Greyhound (diff song though I think) Heptones Junior Mervin Pat kelly none are Coxsone or Studio One related though
  17. He's already got it on cd, he wants it on vinyl.
  18. Soulghost, I think yours is a boot. Like mine. The matrix details off the boot which I have just looked at are REP 1185 RPN - 0024 - 1B F/W L and the B side is the same except it says 0024 - 1C instead of 1B
  19. If he paid a lot of money for it you need to tell him so he can try and get his money back.
  20. So if say the logo was at 12 0 clock on the label, then all copies dropping to be pressed will stay in that position?
  21. That's very true. Or makes sense anyway.
  22. Whats that mean Keith, a company dub plate? Treasure isle? I've got one myself but desperately need it on British.
  23. But Kev isn't the boot NOT supposed to have a scratched in F/W?
  24. It's actually Tyrone Evans, labels say Tyrone Davis. On the off chance that a soul collector may have this thinking it is Tyrone Davis. I will pay your price for this up to £200.
  25. My honest thought was that at first they were selling the big backstock of originals for the price of pressings. People may not remember but in late 1977 things like The Admirations (Paree), John Bowie, Ringleaders, these were all found in such numbers that they were sold in shops like Pep's, for £2 and £3 each. I think the first batch of 7 Dwarfs were real then someone did a boot of it. With lighter yellow labels.
