Omnibus: Volume 1 Re-Issued Boxset ?
Looks like you'd get hammered by customs if you bought the box set though?

Duke Browner / Mark Williams
Eddy, unless there's a recent one, the only Duke Browner boots are the poor quality red one and an excellent quality gold label one done in 1978.

Crikey What's This ?
Bound to be I reckon. Only others I can think of that would pack the floor are Ketty Lester and (maybe) The Chants. (Obviously I can think of 30 more but they wouldn't pack the flor LOL)

No it's alright mate you are free to say whatever you want, but that looked like it was going to spill over and get pretty nasty, so I impersonated a moderator

Crikey What's This ?
How the hell are we supposed to make anything of that? It's a UK RCA demo, this design was used from 1963 to 1968.

Guys this isn't really helping me get my problem sorted out. Gene, Les is a well known and experienced collector, especially of British, used to buy my mag back in the day, definitely not a kid or a troll.

Wynder K Frog - Jumping Jack/feel So Bad United Artists
I agree, £25 - £30 on both UK and USA (though obviously UK doesn't have Feel So Bad)

Odd Balls
Tim, sorry to post on your thread but those three labels above: Gumbo, Pitter Pat and Nob. They sound like three of the lesser known but sleazy seven dwarves.

Turn Back The Hands Of Time
Now, I usually agree with you but in this case I will have to disagree, it might SOUND good on your Jamaican pre, but there's not much duller than a white label, especially when you compare it to that nice UK Bamboo label...

30 Years of Kent Northern Soul
Kent, in my opinion, is the greatest soul label ever. If you had all or even half of their back catalogue, you would never need to buy another record or cd, you'd be set up for life. Congratulations to all at Kent for the fantastic releases and taking the quality of the accompanying booklets to another level.

Turn Back The Hands Of Time
Coincidence! I got that very record through my letter box today Tim. See what the B side is called? Although it's an instrumental version of The Beatles' "Come Together", on the record it's called... SOUL BOWL !

Manship's Price Guide - 6Th Edition
Simon Soussan actually produced a price guide book based around Martin Koppell's wants list. The book itself is now very collectable.

Manship's Price Guide - 6Th Edition
Can't really answer that Tim but you can use my user name and password to access it on your computer if you want to...

Manship's Price Guide - 6Th Edition
Tim mentions RKR above. RKR is Roots Knotty Roots, a gigantic database of Jamaican, British, USA and Candian reggae releases dating back to the late 50's. You can search by artist, label, producer, matrix number (vitally important on Jamaican records to identify blanks), even by rhythm (I refuse to say 'riddim'), you get info on both A & B side of the record. This was originally available on a disc, for windows only, I've been using it for nearly 10 years and it's indispendable. Last month, they put the entire database online, I have just paid $25 for a years subscription. There are something like 70,000 releases dealt with. So basically it certainly is possible to get something like this on line, RKR does not have prices, but there is of course the option to put prices on.

Brian, and this is important, and also what this whole sad sorry mess seems to rotate around, a REPRO is not always a bootleg. Look at all those singles put out by Joe Boy and others, records that look almost identical to the originals but everyone knows that they aren't the originals. That's a repro. Not to be confused with a counterfeit which is set out to deceive from the start by looking identical to an original.

What titles?

Worst Ebay Experience - Also On Soul Source
Neil Rushton, a guy who has run various record labels and licensed many many records for release, says it's legit. Tim Brown had it pressed in Canada through official channels along with the very first press of Tony Galla. Hence the sound quality. This is what I've been told by two people. What the hell more can I do?

Can I Do This? I Think It's A Good Idea Anyway
Steve how many of those were blocked for record related transactions?

Worst Ebay Experience - Also On Soul Source
That is f*cking outrageous. These people scour ebay looking for working versions of their broken items. It'd be best to photograph the serial numbers first.

Footsee..pls Read Carefully
Yep thats it, still gets me, the atmosphere on that tape, you can just picture it when the first bars of Footsee come on, the rush to the floor

I got left a neutral for exactly the same thing Glyn, she said I should have informed her that the record had no centre, I thought it was obvious from the fact it was a USA import and there was a photo of it!

Footsee..pls Read Carefully
Kenny who used to be on here had one...I think there may be two or three versions - one starts with the intro to A Little Bit Hurt.

The guy I mentioned above overcharging postage has left me 4 "false positives", I haven't even paid for them, how can he leave me feedback? LOL Anything I can do about this? https://feedback.ebay...tab=AllFeedback No worries, already got them removed...

Worst Ebay Experience - Also On Soul Source
Good for you, with this one, it's 4 records off the same guy, I decided to bite the bullet and pay for them and then give him a one star rating on postage charges, except he's blocked me from paying or contacting him - and issued 4 non payer strikes against me

Worst Ebay Experience - Also On Soul Source
Knowing ebay, it'lll just be a link to a load of dead ends, should have seen how long it took me to get a phone number this morning. I'm also trying to report a bloke who is pulling a postage scam (actual cost under £2, he's asking £5) but there is nowhere to report this as it's not against the rules apparently
