  1. No mate it's The Messengers credit one - UK Mirto label - exactly the same record, just given another artist name for some reason.
  2. Anyone still after a copy?

  4. Don't think they are. Am probably wrong though.
  5. I'd expect £300 - £350 for the same!
  6. No, I didn't find out. One of the few mysteries that Soul Source members never managed to solve.
  7. The first minute or so fits ok then it goes a bit astray. I quite like mashups. Especially that Althia & Donna meet We Will Rock You one. Not heard a good Northern one yet though.
  8. DAVE MCLAREN - LOVE IS ALL I BRING - BIG BG 321 (1971) will pay 30 /40 DOMINGOES & BAND - A TRIBUTE - MELODY MRC 002 (1968/69) will pay 40 / 50
  9. Brenda Holloway - Reconsider on a recent-ish repress white label with SOUL at the top. Was also issued on Stardust and on a white label UK copy and on a so called Motown test pressing, none of which are legit.
  10. You sure Pete, there's no proper demos of this as far as I know, only stamped ones
  11. Don't know why Braggin is rare, they gave away 100,000 copies didn't they? The Elvis one was always rare, I tried to get it the minute they announced they 'released' it except they gave all the copies away at gigs instead.
  12. Can I just point out that there is no 'original' 45 of this record from the 60's hence the numerous boots of it, and if thats all you can play it off then so be it
  13. Stuck a decent bid on the Island 45...it'll get topped but you'll get £30+ on it
  14. https://www.northerns...0579b1a8764b751 link to a pic of one - I thought they were reissues too
  15. The Decca group always did test pressings of both albums and singles. Decca, Deram, RCA, Brunswick, Coral, Atlantic etc. They all turn up. You'll see lots of Decca 45 demos in various stages, e.g. test press with a white label / blue writing, blank info but proper demo label, proper demo. I've had a couple of Action label test press LP's, proper covers but white label records (Betty Harris - Soul Perfection, Al Greene - Back Up Train)
  16. https://www.wired.com...le&obref=obfile needs a bit of work
  17. No takers for this? Fantastic midtempo track, stunning condition vinyl copy too. ERMA FRANKLIN - ABRACADBRA - EPIC DEMO £100 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uzM3ASmoQ2M
  18. I think It was what they call a local cover-up. I didn't know it til a lot later but I found an old playlist or a review where it was mentioned when I was trying to get it myself.
  19. Theres nothing there...
  20. Great stuff Nikki. The Loving Kind did a version of "Ain't That peculiar", one of the earliest Motown covers by a UK band. Very collectable group.
  21. Excellent point Chalky. And totally true.
  22. LAST ONE OF THE YEAR FROM ME FOLKS, I WENT THROUGH ALL MY 45's AND PULLED OUT WHAT I THINK ARE THE BEST OF THE LOT, NOW I KNOW YOU'VE HEARD THEM ALL BEFORE BUT PUT THEM ALTOGETHER AND YOU GET A GREAT MIX TO SEE THE NEW YEAR IN WITH. THESE ARE THE BEST OF THE BEST AND THEY DON'T HAVE TO BE ULTRA RARE TO STILL BE FANTASTIC TUNES. THANKS FOR ALL THE SUPPORT THIS YEAR - SEE YOU NEXT YEAR. https://www.mixcloud.com/mayfairmenthol/new-years-eve-reggae-party-mix/ DAVE & ANSIL COLLINS — DOUBLE BARREL THE UNIQUES — LOVE AND DEVOTION THE TECHNIQUES — IT’S YOU I LOVE THE TECHNIQUES — LOVE IS NOT A GAMBLE THE CLARENDONIANS — LONELY HEARTACHES ALTON ELLIS — BREAKING UP THE JAMAICANS — BABA BOOM DERRICK HARRIOTT — BEEN SO LONG CORNELL CAMPBELL — GIVE ME LOVE I ROY — HOT BOMB THE SKATALITES — BALL O FIRE BUSTERS ALL STARS — JET 707 SOUND DIMENSION — ROCK FORT ROCK THE SKATALITES — MISS SKA CULATION PAT KELLY — HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE THE SOUL BROS — TRAIN TO SKAVILLE BUSTERS ALL STARS — AL CAPONE TYRONE EVANS — IF THIS WORLD WERE MINE ALTON ELLIS — TOO LATE TO TURN BACK NOW SIR LORD COMIC — THE GREAT WUGA WUGA THE SKATALITES — GUNS OF NAVARONE DELROY BWILSON — DANCING MOOD THE PARAGONS — ONLY A SMILE PHYLLIS DILLON — DON’T STAY AWAY ALTON ELLIS — AIN’T THAT LOVING YOU THE TECHNIQUES — YOU DON’T CARE DERRICK HARRIOTT — THE LOSER NORA DEAN — BARBWIRE ALTON ELLIS — ROCK STEADY BITTY MCLEAN — WALK AWAY FROM LOVE
  23. Yeah she's miming too...and the announcer gets the title wrong at the end "Just say you're mine"
  24. Don't know if your question was serious about miming but I have all the episodes and about 70% are mimed, the rest are live versions or live vocals over a backing track
