  1. Just thought I'd better report that someone just offered me £80 for it so I said yes...
  2. Sorry what's the question? What's a 60's UK release by Lonzine Cannon?
  3. Of course this would probably have all been done and dusted if it had said "the world's number one RARE Northern Soul DJ" not "no 1 Northern Soul DJ". There are hundreds of really good Northern Soul DJ's - but how many of them are at the cutting edge of discovering quality new sounds?
  4. Yeah but most of them aren't on this site or they wouldn't pay £300 for a Solomon Burke record would they?
  5. It was just one of those things where I realised I'd seen more copies of say Melvin Davis Find A Quiet Place than I had of Alfie Kahn demo! Anyway I sold it for £20 to a discerning buyer.
  6. If it's styrene it's original, simple as that
  7. demo £400+ issue £500/£600 IMO
  8. 251 is credited to "The Charmer" but it's nothing to do with Lloyd Chalmers, it's actually The Cherry Pies - Dip Them Prince
  9. It's never worth more than £150...even unplayed
  10. Sadly am having to sell all mine because my eyes are so bad, I used to be a voracious reader but now, hardly read at all, actually when I think of all the magazines I used to buy every month maybe it's not such a bad thing, saving me some dosh
  11. Too right, nobody could believe it when I used to play it to them, and it's such a hard record to find on UK Columbia. It pre-dates their comedy records, people don't realise that.
  12. No I was reading it out of a book Dave, Billboard Top R&B Hits 1952-1988. As sold on Amazon LOL
  13. I did post up a Rosko show once which featured him playing Just A Little Misunderstanding and Tony Tribe...from 1969
  14. I can't see that...different book?
  15. Levine had to find it first.
  16. On original release or reissue? No need to answer, found it in the Billboard book 30th Jan 65, reached number 38!
  17. Just to say I have tweaked the prices on a lot of these, now they are even more of a bargain than they already were
  18. It certainly never got a UK release until 1975
  19. Route label via Pye
  20. I listed one of these today ALFIE KAHN SOUND ORCHESTRA - LAW OF THE LAND - ATLANTIC DEMO it's a same both sides demo copy, blue label, I swear I've never seen one of these in my life and someone else just said the same thing to me - I know there's no demand for it but does anyone else think it's a tough demo to find?
  21. Interesting throwaway choice of artist there, I sold a Barron Knights acetate for £60 or £70 last year, though it was Comin' Home Baby (a really good British R&B version) and was on a Lansdowne Studios acetate.
