I didn't know Rod did Voices From The Shadows. Or maybe I did and I forgot, or got it mixed up with In The Basement. Whatever, it explains why he's never on here when you want him and dammit I thought his user name was for real

Can't stand Bobby Sheen - Something New To Do either.

Just makes it longer and slightly boring..no need for that extra verse, it was perfect as it was

Jamaican R & B / Ska / Rocksteady / Reggae Big List Of 45's
Pete S replied to Pete S's topic in Record Sales
yeah I thought it was a good list Dave, but sold f*ck all! -
But other titles exist as arrows and badge logos so I reckon they just kept the titles on catalogue and when the old labels ran out, they used new ones?
-
I'd say 64-65 but it doesn't look that old! Still can find no reason for a repress though.

The record I hate most of all is not The Carstairs, it's Larry Houston - Let's Spend Some Time Together. Enough to put people off for life.
-
This is a scruffy specimen of mine, but what a rare stock copy this is - great track too, some very distinctive "Okeh" voices in the background
-
...no way is this a 70's release
-
It came out with a different design but I doubt if it would be more than a month later, why would they reissue a flop single like that a decade later?
-
It's funny because Holly St James, Cobblestone, Burning Bush - make me feel EXACTLY the same as you, even now I can remember the feeling that all wasn't right and things weren't the same anymore. In August 78, I packed Wigan in and went for the last time. All dayers only after that. And serious barb problems unfortunately.
-
What's interesting from this list is that they are ALL from exactly the same period when they were played or at their biggest - middle to late 1978. Did something happen Macca?
-
I don't like House For Sale either. Never did, from the moment it was first played. Very corny lyrics, boring tune, handbaggers classic.
-
Great choice, I only heard this recently and thought it was someone playing a trick pretending it was a real record.
-
Between £8 and £9 depending how much card you put in, usually about £8.20
-
No you couldn't, Grand Piano Company is f&cking sh&t at any volume
-
I think Cool Off is one of those records that doesn't make a lot of sense when you play it at home, but blasted out loud, at Wigan it sounded out of this world, absolutely brilliant Northern Soul.

There's another version by Dinah Lee on UK Aladdin, she was an Australian singer. -
