  1. Well it's possible because a huge amount of Ska Beat stock was sold in the 80's but it would probably come at a premium. If I was to adopt that buying process I'd have no records, I take them in any playable form really. I knew I shouldn't have bought those Islands off you. I've got 106 of them now.
  2. That might be a bit trickier
  3. Rod I can probably get you the Ska Beat record - I"ve had 3 in the last 18 months
  4. And me playing BIg Five and Wet Dream really loud with the windows open while next door neighbour was hanging her washing out
  5. Your 14 year old daughter likes the risque ones I see those middle three were considered rude when I was a kid
  6. Looks like the counterfeit Paul
  7. Mal, Tighten Up 1 & 2 are all time classics but neither of those tracks are on them, they are both on volume 3

  11. NIce post Gordy, apparently those instrumentals with Peter Tosh were never meant to be released, apparently on some or most of them he was just playing along to the track without being serious. You're right, most of them are rubbish - except for the version of "Uncle Joe" on the B side of "Moon Hop", entitled "Harris Wheel" - thats brilliant. I also agree with you about the UK stuff, most of it is tenth rate apart from Dandy's productions on Downtown, the early ones.
  12. JIMMY SOUL CLARK - SWEET DARLIN' / INSTRUMENTAL VERSION - BLACK MAGIC DEMO SOLD STONE MINT JM HAS THIS FOR £22 ON A BLACK MAGIC ISSUE AND £100 ON A BLACK MAGIC TEST PRESSING, THIS ONE'S A BLACK MAGIC DEMO SO I WAS THINKING £30 FOR IT IF ANYONE'S INTERESTED IT'S NOTABLE FOR BEING THE ONLY PLACE WHERE YOU CAN FIND THE FANTASTIC INSTRUMENTAL VERSION OF SWEET DARLIN CHEERS PETE

  14. I actually thought they were Irish, they do versions of loads and loads of songs, old and new. Just thought it was really charming.
  15. Temple Street. Walked right past the place today. There's a huge DHSS building there now.
  16. Sorry I was being a bit facetious (?) because of the plays for 54-46 and that vocal to Double Barrel, not the original 60's spins. There's literally an endless list of fantastic ska tunes waiting to be picked up on though. Most of the best ones you can hear on my blogsite! https://lostvinylgemsofthe60s.blogspot.co.uk/
  17. I think what was meant was that for some reason, they are playing 54-46 at soul do's now so Broadway Jungle could become the next 54-46. Next thing they'll discover such obscurities as John Jones, Live Injection and Guns Of Navarone.
