Thanks Nige. And thanks for buying. That one you had, good job you got in early, had 4 calls for it! -

Eusebio Buying Records 1968 - Fantastic Photo
Pete S replied to Pete S's topic in All About the SOUL
Good point, maybe it's 1968 when Benfica played Man Utd? Couple of Sue LP's there as well I see and some Marble Arch Blues lp's on the wall? -
It's just impossible to name 10 isn't it, I could name 30 Ska 45's, 30 Rocksteady 45's, 30 early Reggae 45's and One Roots 45 in seconds...too many brilliant records

The photo is brilliant I think - he's buying Otis Redding but look at the actual shop, and the records on the shelf behind the counter as well..

Ernie & Ed - Indication - Jayboy (Mint) How Much?
Pete S replied to Pete S's topic in Look At Your Box
No there's loads more than that which I dislike more, anyway I only chose two records in that thread, Larry Houston and Bobby Sheen, I still have my options open on the third -
There's a couple of reggae versions of Walking Up A One Way Street, The Clarendonians on Dragon is one...also a UK version of Open The Door Of Your Heart (Errol English?)

I don't like it either! -
Remember me asking about this the other week and I was told I was off my head for asking more than £40 for it? I also got £85 for it...

Canadian Soul 45S And Canadian Only Soul 45S
Pete S replied to Derek Pearson's topic in Look At Your Box
I sold a Rufus Lumley - I'm Standing on Reo on here might have been year before last, £60, could have sold it half a dozen times and I'll be there's not been more than 5 of those ever turned up, sometimes I'm such a mug. The Kurt Harris first mentioned by Steve Foran on page 1 I sold that 18 months ago on Apex, it belonged to Alan Pollard. I think I had the first Regency copy of Donald Jenkins (was auctioned so it must have been quite early) but wouldn't complain if it was already around. I bought Soul Sam's Canadian Epic copy of Call Me Tomorrow off him at the Lafayette in about May 1979, it was in his playbox and he just got fed up of me asking him for it, cost £18. -
I did, it was Mick Smith's, I think he got it from Ady
-
Not just one, I bought one at one of the early Prestatyns and was told that was where it came from. Not that I cared.
-
Same here, it's just mind-boggling that it wasn't deemed good enough to release.

Have you received it yet, it might just be the photograph
-
I'll try in future.
-
I asked the missus what she thought of it as she came in when it was playing and she said, I've heard better steel bands at our village carnival
-
Not quite but it's worth £50 to £75, agreed on that. I get one or two per year on average.
-
Three or so years ago I couldn't get 100 on a WD, think I took 50 on it, then it gets put up for auction and sells for something ridiculous, so in answer yo your question, in real terms I'd say 125 to 150.
-
Yeah it's alright

SAM WILLIAMS — LOVE SLIPPED THRU MY FINGERS — TOWER DEMO VG+ OFFS Selling this for someone else — bad news it has a hiss on the start, on the piano intro, otherwise fine and although marked, one of those which people would call ‘perfect for djing’. Anyone know if there's a Belgian boot of THE BEGIANETTS - THE TRAIN - OKEH DEMO? I have one, vinyl, stamped matrix but someone said that there's a counterfeit of this.

Ernie & Ed - Indication - Jayboy (Mint) How Much?
Pete S replied to Pete S's topic in Look At Your Box
Right thanks guys. Already had two people offer £150 in that small space of time so I think I might actually get a bit greedy on this and go higher, tax bill next week and absolutely nothing to go towards it yet so might have to bring my prices into the real world for a fortnight -
How much does the panel think I should ask for a mint or mint minus copy of ERNIE & ED - INDICATION / BEAUTIFUL WORLD - UK JAYBOY? Offers maybe? (Remember selling this for £3 or £5 back in the old Beatin Rhythm magazine days )
