The stuff Ace is releasing is from when they actually made their TOTP debut and promoted 3 or 4 singles!

However. What I would say is, if you had say £2000 spare, you could put together a really good collection of decent sounds, you could buy originals and reissues but there are records on there that a few years ago were 40 or 50 quid and are now 15/25 quid, and it's weird because a lot of pressings I sold for 10/15/20 are on there for a fiver...the overall quality is terrible but if you can read inbetween the cracks and you've got some dosh, I'm sure you could build up a collection. You wouldn't get invited to dj anywhere though

OK I'll at least try and explain why I don't like the Buddy Smith record, apart from the fact that it's so dull. It's the first line. He appears to be singing a word or words that nobody has actually invented for the first couple of seconds of the vocal. A record like Dusty Wilson - Going To Be A Tragedy, from the same time, same place, probably same musicians and taken at the same pace but so thrilling...we can't all like the same thing

If you put enough card in then bubble wrap envelopes are alright, I don't take any risks though, I put FOUR pieces of card in with the record.

RNS is a private seller, selling records...thats where I saw it, on their website. But..it has definitely been discussed on this forum before. Must be 5 years ago now though.

I like Paul Anka - Can't Help Loving You and I seriously think that anyone who doesn't appreciate that record as pure Northern Soul and calls it 'pop' doesn't get what Northern Soul is.
