I've gone the opposite way with that - I've known it for 40 years but only in the last 4 or 5 I have become to appreciate it properly - it's been on my last 3 or 4 Northern podcasts in a row and I can't wait to slot it in to be honest. I love my records and I play them a lot, I've been playing 300 of the same records for decades and never get tired of them.

I have him on tape playing Velvet Love but to be fair, it was only about 15 minutes after it opened that night and there were hardly any people in...didn't hear it played again...always liked it though

I don't know mate, it was definitely Russ though - if it was covered up, then it was seen through straight away.

I don't remember it being covered up Sean, not saying you're wrong, the next week after it was first played I got one in the back bar off Dave Withers for £5 and I knew it was M & The V's. £5 it was!

I'd sell mine - it needs one minor repair, the arm which lifts the record up is stuck in the up position and it just needs a cog clicking down once but I can't reach it. It's no Wurlitzer but it's a nice box, very loud, you can see the records playing, holds 80 records...paid £1100 I'd want £850. Or records. Anyone interested can PM me
