I used to see loads on adverts but not on flyers - in fact I was reading some only last night - october 1974 Would love to know what some of these are, lots of made up artists here I think Wigan casino Russ & Richard playing sounds like: GYPSIES, DETROIT SOUL, BILLY THE KID, GARY BAKER, FENWAYS, NICKY © CHATEAUX, MICHAEL & RAYMOND, FABULOUS BLADES, JOEY DEE, SOUNDS OF SOUL, TD VALENTINE, EXCEPTIONS, STARFIRES, APRIL SILVA, DENA BARNES, BOBBY PARIS, EDDIE & ERNIE plus lots of secret sounds and oldies

There's a South African 7" which we all keep arguing about as to if it's a 1966 or a 1976 release. Also it came out in Europe in various countries in 1976.
-
There is no UK original apart from that one - it was released in 1976 due to Northern demand. The original was on US Hi on a 6 track mini-LP and a full album but not on a normal 7". Just advertise it as UK issue, no need to stress original or reissue really.

There is not a boot of this on the yellow Seventy Seven label. There might be a recent carver type one with a stuck on label but there isn't one from the 70's or 80's. Anyway Kev you only have to see what's in the run off, tells you all you need to know.
-
Dave those multicoloured copies were done in 1977. The first represses of stuff on Sound Stage 7 / Seventy Seven etc were the blue ones and they were more likely 74/75 (Suzy Serenade, Little Ritchie etc) Definitely nothing as far back as 72, especially 77 label reissues.

Dunno but it's not me..

Wow I sold an identical Kenny Gamble for £100 cheaper on here about 4 weeks ago. And who in their right mind would pay more than £25 for a copy of Boogaloo Party? Strange world of northern soul...

Weekly Poll - When Did Your Northern Soul Affair Start?
Pete S replied to Mike's topic in All About the SOUL
We had lots of runs in with Stoke throughout the 80's and early 90's but the one I remember the most was at the old Victoria ground, last match of the season possibly 1982? We needed to win to stay up, we lost and were relegated, there was the biggest toe to toe I've ever seen outside (might have been on a car park side of the ground) must have lasted a good 5 minutes with at least 100 on each side. When we got on the train, there were loads of Stokies on the bridges and they let loose a rain of bricks and half the windows came in. Yes those were the good old days -

Terrible record.

Might be - I saw it myself a few months back - definitely a blaxploitation - you're probably right about Dolemite. It was utter sh*te.

I agree, I rarely if ever sell anything now without finding out if it's been sold on here in the past and how much it sold for. The I undercut that price 99% of times, even if only by a fiver. Go to any main dealers price and knock 40% off, or go to popsike and take the top two or three and the bottom two or three to get an average price. I like Anglo Americans lists for pricing best, I'll always undercut them on everything but they are a good pointer. Of course I'm different to them because they don't NEED to sell whereas as I do...if they don't sell something, they put it back on the shelf and wait for it to come round again due to their huge stocks. Wish I could do that, but no it has to be sold, no use sitting on a shelf...

I didn't know either side Gene, thank for that, I bet I listed the wrong one!

Youtube Algorithm Identifies Unidentified Songs
Pete S replied to Amsterdam Russ's topic in All About the SOUL
I just noticed something similar-ish. On the podcast I posted just now, I used the track Sad Sad Way which is a 'new' vocal to Sidras Theme. I took it from my itunes library where it was tagged as Larry Hammond - Sad sad Way. I am just playing said podcast and it says "now playing - ronnie & robyn - sidras theme"! -
THE THINKING MAN'S OLDIES 6 Yes back again with another selection of (mainly) lesser played Northern Soul gems. Some beauties here including the brilliant unissued Timi Yuro track (which sounds like it has the same backing track as Take me For A Little While) and a great alternate version of the Doris Troy classic I'll Do Anything by Dee Dee Sharp. Then there's an ultra-clean recording of the scene's second rarest record by The Mello Souls dubbed straight off the last copy to be sold, some nice Stafford oldies and even a UK cracker for good measure. VAN TREVOR - A FLING OF THE PAST LITTLE NICKY SOUL - I WANTED TO TELL YOU THE SKYLINERS - EVERYTHING IS FINE THE ADVENTURERS - I'VE CAUGHT YOU CHEATING CHESTER ST. ANTHONY - TOGETHER DON & RON - I'M SO SO SORRY MANCHESTER'S PLAYBOYS - I FEEL SO GOOD THE INTENTIONS - DON'T FORGET THAT I LOVE YOU THE GEES - IT'S ALL OVER TIMI YURO - SPOIL ME (UNISSUED) CHRIS BARTLEY - HELP IS ON THE WAY ALL NIGHT WORKERS - DON'T PUT ALL YOUR EGGS IN ONE BASKET FLASH McKINLEY - I'LL RESCUE YOU THE MELLO SOULS - WE CAN MAKE IT DEE DEE SHARP - I'LL DO ANYTHING (UNISSUED) IMPERIAL C'S - SOMEONE TELL HER THE TEMPESTS - SOMEDAY LARRY HAMMOND - SAD SAD WAY RUFUS LUMLEY - STRONGER THAN ME THE VOLTAIRES - MY MY BABY SONNY PARKER - MISTER ROMANCE ESTHER GRANT - LET'S MAKE THE MOST OUT OF LOVE THE NEW YORKERS - DON'T WANT TO BE YOUR FOOL THE TRADITIONS - MY LIFE WITH YOU SANDY GOLDEN - YOUR LOVE IS EVERYTHING MARV JOHNSON - SAVE MY LOVE FOR A RAINY DAY BRAND NEW FACES - BRAND NEW FACES THE MILLIONAIRES - NEVER FOR ME MARION STEWART - I MUST BE LOSING YOU https://www.mixcloud.com/mayfairmenthol/the-thinking-mans-oldies-6/

Yeah sorry, did think you were referring to BCFC fans. Saw a big fight between blacks and skins outside HMV once, biggest one though was when Wolves played Newcastle United last game of the season can't remember the year but Newcastle bought thousands down and they stayed in the town and had massive battles with black youths, it was literally a riot, fortunately I'd got on the 265 and was back in Wombourne before it kicked off -
