  1. No it is rare but it's only as rare as the Carol & Gerri, Charades issues. Bloody nice though.
  2. Yeah that's the one I saw which prompted me to start the topic. Not gonna buy it though.
  3. Bizarre why would they say that, it was never considered 'that' rare until a few years back. I've had two, maybe three. Well I've had all the MGM's on stock copies. RCA's, a different matter.
  4. I think this is later than that - early 80's. Might be wrong, but was definitely not around when the other Arctics like Volcanos were repressed.
  5. Yeah I can imagine it would be the quality of those record your own record booth things they used to have on stations up until the late 60's. But yeah very cool, I love vintage audio.
  6. In the late 50's, Pye invented a record player which not only played records but also recorded on blank discs! Looks like you just changed the headshell and recorded into it using a microphone and you could record onto blank 'magnetic' discs. Whether you could play these on other players, I don't know. Has anyone ever seen one of these in action or even heard of them? Amazing, I never knew these existed.
  7. UK Capitol had a Tower offshoot in the late 70's and they were definitely red so you may not be as bad as you think!
  8. Makes a change - they usually tell you to f*ck off and mind your own business, however helpful you're trying to be. Which is when I report them.
  9. GREAT VERSION OF THE JACKIE EDWARDS TUNE, UPTEMPO NORTHERN AND RARE IN THIS CONDITION - GRADED EXCELLENT. £30 + POSTAGE.
  10. I think I asked Ady about this way back and he said not possible...
  11. Red Daz? Tower issues are brown...
  12. Boot going by the width of the run off
  13. Was booted just like that...
  14. Thought it was a pretty standard £500
  15. It's a boot
  16. I've got a few of those, I'll price them up asap (very reasonably)
  17. Move them round my house mate I'll soon shift 'em for you :-)
  18. Yeah I sold it to Mick Smith - well I traded it - £1200 worth of swaps I think it was. And he still complained, as always Makes me laugh because in every price guide it has a very low price (£450 in the latest one) but very few people have actually ever seen a copy in the flesh.
  19. What's a 'loft sale' Don? Records you keep in your loft? I'm not taking the p*ss.
  20. I'm sorted Andy thanks but NCFC above might be interested
  21. There is a great thread about rare issues on here already if someone can find it, also there are some rare ones here on my website https://www.rare-soul.com/wordpress/?page_id=12
  22. Best instrumental ever would be Dean Courtney's I'll Always Need You, with full orchestra playing, amazing
  23. No, definitely black, with a 'penant' type logo with childrens building bricks inside
  24. As I just told you I've got acetates 30/40 years old and they play perfectly...so have hundreds of other people...you'll just have to learn to look after your records better Nev...
  25. Why do people keep saying this? I've got some that are over 30 years old and they play as good as when they were made. As long as you don't cue them back and forward, and play on a lightweight arm, they'll last years and years
