  1. You know what I'm like with 'modern' and 70's soul, I just wondered if anyone knew a record by Sheron Wiley called I Can't Live Without Your Love (Free Flight PB 11485). It's the B side of a ballad called So Close. There are promos of So Close about but I can't find a stock copy. Reason I'm asking, it's actually a pretty good fast dancer which I'm surprised I can't find out about. Sounds like it could have been massive back in the late 70's.
  2. He hasn't done a "lookalike" of mine has he LOL anyway since when has Darren had the copies to refer to? I know he might have the originals.
  3. Darren Brown has published a list? I've done a complete dossier on them if you read nback through the thread.
  4. Here are two photos of The Greater Experience record. I've just scanned these now, on the same scanner, so they should be accurate. The first one is the original. The second one is the lookalike.
  5. The "lookalike 20" have perfectly cut centre holes if that's any help
  6. but apart from that, thanks Pete
  7. This is a first to be honest, I'm actually using a mic to introduce the records, however, on playback every time I breathe in is captured on the recording so I sound like Darth Vader! So I do apologise for that, and also for the swearing...I have a PHD in swearology. But it's a really good show, lots of old stuff, lots of new stuff, and some heavy breathing anecdotes. I promise I won't do it again. No track list this time (as yet) will add as soon as I can type properly, beer has gone to my head...
  8. Well spotted eagle eye! I'd never have seen those. Hard enough to see even with the boxes round them.
  9. Mikki Farrow is an issue not a promo...
  10. Sorry are you talking about my photo of Tony Colton? There are hardly any visible circles compared to the others, trust me, it might be a camera trick but it's nothing like the others - that Tony Colton was done at the same place as the Candi Staton so use that one for reference not my photo
  11. I don't agree that the Tony Colton comes from the same plant by the way. I think the Don Gardner official repro does.
  12. Yes that is true, I've got one, you had to buy the Don Gardner double LP from Germany and the single was included, but the whole thing including postage was £34 so why people are paying £50+ for the single on it's own...crazy I forgot about that. Levine must go. Burn the witch.
  13. I know who that is, he was buying old pressings off me on Discogs.
  14. I've just posted this into the main topic with details of the remainder of the records. Am just posting this here so that people will know it's there if they want to read it.
  15. Not exactly, he didn't mention soul packs. He was talking about bootlegs.
  16. Final part The Magnetics I Have A Girl / Love & Devotion Dead wax details I Have A Girl At 12 0 clock R 7104-A scratched in. Love & Devotion At 10 0 clock R 7104-B scratched in Label is very slightly smaller than the original. Circular pattern very easy to see. Bill Bush I’m Waiting / A Velvet Touch Dead wax details I’m Waiting At 12 0 clock R – 1 and then an upside down 4 scratched in. At 2 0 clock SL 1311 scratched in. At 4 0 clock TM 2399 then what looks like a lower case handwritten ‘e’. A Velvet Touch has these same markings except that SL 1311 becomes SL 1310 and TM 2399 becomes TM 2388. Label is very slightly too small. Circular pattern visible on I’m Waiting side. There are already two bootlegs of this title in circulation but neither has the original flip side like this one does. It’s very good but hold it to the light and look at the Ronn logo and you will see the circular pattern. Louis Paul The Change Will Do You Good / I’ll Never Have You Dead wax details The Change Will Do You Good Reading anti clockwise from 11 0 clock; RE – UM 1001 A then a space RC then another space and what looks like a small oval shape with two horizontal lines running through it. I’ll Never Have You Reading anti clockwise from 11 0 clock: RE – UM 1001 B then a gap and a circlular shape with an oval going through it (a little like a “Saturn” ) This one really looks the part but again the labels are slightly too small. No circular pattern on the label. Soul Incorporated My Proposal / Message To Michael Dead wax details My Proposal At 11 0 clock F/W scratched in. At 2 0 clock 2031 A scratched in. Message To Michael At 4 0 clock F/W scratched in. At 7 0 clock 2031 B scratched in. Circular pattern can be seen on the label name and logo.
  17. Would help if we could get a better photo than that one, it looks like it has the pattern but there's also wear around the centre hole
  18. And if the happened, do you think the same people on here who've criticised Levine will say a single word against Manship? Of course they won't, they'll be kissing his arse like they always do.
  19. No that's my list next week...
  20. It was never released then? How did he get the copies, did they just scrap the release?
  21. Facebook took all his stuff down though I think - plus the picture was probably taken ages ago, the one with Tim Brown?
  22. No I think she said she couldn't remember recording it?
  23. She re-recorded all of her hits apparently. Not an Ian Levine project, one that he was commissioned in to do.
