  1. Ace Records did a superb Lou Johnson cd a couple of years ago with all of his best known stuff and some unreleased versions too
  2. That topic wouldn't make sense though would it...?? If it wasn't about covering soul songs I mean.
  3. Not sure why Needles And Pins and Hippy Hippy Shake would be included.
  4. Wiki says by Diane & Anita, very minor hit, MIndbenders probably picked up on it from a publishers demo
  5. Well only had one go but pretty fantastic apart from a little fault on the left deck which sometimes slows down and speeds up again...
  6. I never heard this before and thought it was quite good so I looked up the original and found it to be - perfect....so don't understand the remix, which is, as the others say, not great. Love the original though.
  7. Nobody, you're meant to play it at the end, could never play slow records in the middle of the night
  8. This looks like the copy I sold, can't remember who I sold it to but he got £14.99 for it, labels on wrong sides, vocal side VG https://collectorsfrenzy.com/details/380427740410/CLARENDONIANS__WALKING_UP_A_ONE_WAY_STREET_ORIG_UK_DRAGON_45_LISTEN_WILLIE_TEE
  9. Could do. What to sell though?
  10. Have to agree with you, it's f*cking immense, absolute masterpiece to all but the hard of hearing
  11. Nice list! "Rainmaker" absolute genius record.
  12. Yeah, well I know it's an auction and great result coming up for the seller but from a buyers point of view I was trying to understand why someone would bid that much on a record with very little value. Same as when that Jackie Edwards went for £300 odd, I've still got one I can't sell for £25.
  13. No mine was a weird one, it had one side mint but the other side VG, fortunately it was the instrumental that was VG, except when I played it, the labels were on the wrong sides so it was in fact the vocal that was VG. Otherwise it might have even been as much as £15.
  14. https://www.raresoulman.co.uk/auction/rock-pop-ska/8039/walking-up-a-one-way-street-cw-instrumental I sold this for £10 the other day, and that was too much.

  16. LAROSE PHILLIPS - WANTED / DON'T TAKE ME AWAY FROM YOU - GOLDISC W/DEMO £60 EX MINUS - TWO MARKS NOT AFFECTING PLAY - PLAYS EX+ NOT FOR SALE CROSSED OUT NICE MIDTEMPO STAFFORD TYPE DANCER FREE POST
  17. Blake they are 25 years old, how is anyone able to answer that question apart from the people who made the records in the first place?
  18. Just saying, they kept me informed at a time that it was very difficult for me to keep in touch. Seller won't mind the publicity. I"ll start the bidding at £100.
  19. Don't understand why you'd disagree. I missed Stafford completely, this is where I heard loads of the records played there.
  20. Nah it's not more mate, I'd wait if I were you.
  21. I had one for either £125 or £150 about 3 months ago and could have sold it ten times so I guess £200 is right.
  22. There was, it was made up of 2 previously released single albums put together to make a double (they did that a couple of times)
