  1. What's that got to do with it? The idea is to get the knowledge first and then start selling - not the other way round
  2. He has been told by someone on here but maintains it's an original.
  3. Having just listened to it, I can see why people prefer "PGMOMC"!
  4. I agree 78 was bad but up until late 77, was still the same for me
  5. Can do, was going to try and clean it up a bit first, give me an hour or so then I'll have something
  6. Not for me but thanks anyway Dave, I put this one of mine on to be greeted by The Ojays Looky Looky which I've never liked..
  7. Really don't know how you can say that unless we've got a different opinion of what atmosphere is - I'm talking about the clapping etc in the big room, even hearing it now can have me in tears
  8. To be fair, I think that's the first record played by the next DJ
  9. It did. Why, I can't answer that, it's the worst record on the tape.
  10. Could well be...cheers
  11. Actually I just found something for you M's fans, a 60 minute tape labelled "Mr M's 1977" which is Brian Rae dj-ing and someone I'm not sure who it is, might be Steve Whittle??, but what makes this one unusual is that it's obviously recorded directly off the decks, professional style. Quality 10 out of 10. I can podcast this one if you like. Means I have to listen to it though...
  12. Thought you might be interested to see the track list from this tape - I can post it up as a podcast if needs be - wonder how much this little lot is worth in todays money? (I may have got some of the artists wrong) TURBINES - WE GOT TO START OVER JESSE DAVIS (as JOHNNY VANELLI) - HANG ON IN THERE TAMI LYNN - YOU MY LOVE HONEY & THE BEES - BE YOURSELF PERSIANETTES (as SEQUINS) - RUN RUN RAY MARCHAND - SHIP OF FOOLS CHANGING SCENE - WHILE THE CITY SLEEPS JE MORGAN(?) - BY YOUR SIDE FABULOUS IMPACTS (Moments) - BABY I WANT YOU JIMMY ARMSTRONG - MYSTERY COLT 45's - LADY LADY JESSE DAVIS again VINCE APOLLO - I BEAR WITNESS JOHNNY SUMMERS - I'M STILL YOURS CAIROS - STOP OVERLOOKING ME ANDY FISHER - HEARTS BEATING STRONGER TURBINES - WE GOT TO START OVER UNKNOWN - ONE WAY LOVE FREDDIE HOUSTON - IF I HAD KNOWN JACK MONTGOMERY - DON'T TURN YOUR BACK ON ME
  13. Never understood why people travelled miles and miles to hear the same records they played at the youth club...
  14. She was indeed, Polly Brown was the singer.
  15. Nothing, where have I said there's something wrong with playing lp's? if you like lp's, fine, I prefer 45's, original, reissue, whatever
  16. It is definitely Jimi Hendrix, performing with Buddy & Stacey.
  17. I used to knock these out on DVD's, think I still have 3 episodes
  18. I said that already
  19. The dealer should know!
  20. Topic elsewhere stating that it is a massive COUNTERFEIT
  21. If it means they can be played on a record player its fine by me, I don't subscribe to this "if you haven't got the original you should have it on cd or mp3", it's not the same, I want to touch it, put it on the turntable, place the stylus on the record and EXPERIENCE the whole thing - I don't just want to listen to it!
  22. Don't think I've heard that either!
  23. On the subject of patches, which I was yesterday, Dee just found this one in the garage...was this the first Australian weekender or something, I have no idea how I got this unless Maria or Alex sent it to me maybe? Is it worth anything?
  24. Marc - I don't care...I was just relating what happened to me many years ago in that I didn't receive all the mags I paid for, it's not something I lie awake at night thinking about but thanks anyway
