  1. Right - I'll get that checked and see if it's still here.
  2. Stacks of the stuff on youtube Carl. Too many to list really. Brilliant footage of Little Anthony doing Hurt So Bad but I don't think any footage of Better Use Your Head has turned up yet. I must have going on for 1000 clips of soul artists, but nobodys interested anymore thats why I never bothing compiling dvd's nowadays, I've still got tons of stuff not on youtube from when I used to trade with people.
  3. Yeah I think so, maybe £60 on issue, the issue was scarce then though. But you know me, always expensive anyway
  4. Actually bought myself a record on sunday, High Voltage - Country Road (issue) for £25. Got the invoice yesterday, paid straight away, didn't recognise the seller name but did recognise the email address, and it was someone who's been a customer of mine for at least 10 years, really nice guy and what you'd call a valued customer. Anyway when I paid I said wow how about that, roles reversed, me buying off you now. Few hours later, he sent me a message saying I'd been really helpful to him over the years and he'd like to give me the High Voltage record to say thanks, and he consequently refunded my payment. Makes a nice change to be able to say something good about an ebay deal.
  5. Why would it be on styrene, it's just a standard injection moulded monstrosity, they began creeping into the UK in 1971, after that maybe 80% of Polygram records were pressed like that, the one on the scan matches the UK reissue, which is also available as plastic label and, much scarcer paper label.
  6. It's by Jeanette Williams
  7. Blimey a 9 year old post!!!

  9. If you hold it to the light and can see light through it, it's a counterfeit, done at the same time using the same vinyl as John & The Weirdest.
  10. Been after this on ages since I found it came out on UK. I had it on a Jamaican blank but sold it ages ago. It is of course Dave "Collins" Barker.
  11. Looks very similar to me. Same haircut, same nose
  12. As close to mint a copy as you could wish for but as I don't use mint, it's in EX+ condition. Keep On Striving on side 2 had one tiny pop on the intro but is easily EX if not EX+. Really nice copy in it's original company sleeve. £225 including postage in the UK. Overseas post £9 airsure. cheers Pete pete.smith@freeuk.com
  13. George Lemons "private test press" total one off apparently https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/George-Lemons-Fascinating-Girl-Rare-Northern-Soul-45-Private-Test-Press-/231029461800?pt=UK_Records&hash=item35ca6dd328
  14. Wow - I've never seen that before either Gene
  15. I've got the most recent Tim Brown one you can have for a tenner plus post if you want it, more or less as new
  16. That's this one Grant
  17. They emailed me today saying they'd had a copy returned but didn't know if it was off me or someone else, so thats 2 people with bad copies, good to know I wasn't the only one
  18. You may have done, there's hundreds of records I can never remember having had - until I see an old list of mine!
  19. I'd already replied and thought I held my tongue pretty well.. Phil the record was near mint, the label as you can plainly see by the picture has no wear whatsoever and everyone knows that WOL is the most common record grading abbreviation of the lot, if you want to return the record because it has five dots on the centre of the other side that is absolutely fine and I am happy to give you a full refund, but a part refund, I would never do that and I actually state I don't do part refunds in the advert for precisely this reason. cheers, pete
  20. C'est la vie - only on 20% of that anyway so got a fiver out of it
  21. Van Dykes bootleg £60 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Northern-Soul-The-Van-Dykes-Save-My-Love-For-A-Rainy-Dat-Tears-Of-Joy-/321179052876?pt=UK_Records&hash=item4ac7c36b4c
  22. First time I got this, it had been my top UK want forever, Gary White got me one and I knew he'd posted it registered post, except I was a bit mental at the time and was positive my postman was nicking things from me, so I got up at five thirty and actually walked over to the sorting office (it was 200 yards away from where I lived) and I waited for the postman to come out, I then followed him on his round until he came near to my house, got ahead of him, went in the house and waited til he rang the bell, I was hiding behind the door and he jumped out of his skin when I opened it the second he pressed the bell anyway the record was there, though I lost a copy of Harvey on Tri Phi a couple of weeks later... n.b. I have no idea how following would have helped the safe delivery of the record, as I say, I was slightly hatstand at the time
  23. I only ever heard it at Wigan. Quite a pleasant record I thought.
  24. Slight difference from the £25 I was told it was worth and agreed to sell it for
