  1. He was, back in 93-94, I sold that copy for him.
  2. That's actually a moot point Tony because it's not my record so whatever I get for it, it'll only be 20% anyway. Still I suppose 20% of £200 is better than 20% of £100.
  3. I don't agree with the record fetching that sort of money, because I personally think it's rubbish. But it's not the sellers fault. I know where you are coming from with all this Steve, I do, but just because we think it's only worth a few quid doesn't mean everyone else does.
  4. Nice confession Al. Now I know it's you I can't be harsh anymore
  5. Yeah it certainly sells for good money, I sold mine for £40 when they repressed it on Ashford for a fiver...
  6. What are you meant to do, ask a panel of 10 record buyers and sellers what a fair price to sell the record for is? You got £700 for it, good luck to you. It's supply and demand.
  7. It's definitely not Pep, not at the start anyway, I think it's actually Harpo. Loving this.
  8. I knew I'd seen it somewhere before
  9. Sorry Tony, post deleted
  10. Oh yes of course. The 11,000 people who left me positive feedbacks, the hundreds of people on here who've bought from me, the 1500 people on facebook and the 2000 people who are on my mailing list, they are all in fact WRONG, they are absolutely mad to deal with me and trust me. Thanks for letting them all know I've been mugging them for the last 20+ years.
  11. There's a link on my first post, if you're talking about the above?
  12. New Ian Levine monster sound as heard on his latest podcast. THE PANICS - SHOW HER YOU CARE - SWAN 4247 DEMO. Condition is EXCELLENT. You can hear it here on Ian's podcast, he doesn't give a track listing but I'm sure it's in the first 30 minutes. https://www.mixcloud.com/ianlevine35/solid-soul-sensations-ian-levines-tenth-northern-soul-podcast/ anyway this is up for offers - I think Ian rates it at a very high price, I'd be more conservative so asking offers over £100 to start pete.smith@freeuk.com cheers Pete
  13. Can't believe you've got the nerve to show your face around these parts again, go and crawl back under your stone, people haven't forgot what you did, you're lying, deceitful and dishonest. Everyone knows what you're like. I needn't say anything else.
  14. Classy. I remember a few people, back in kind of 76-77 times, managed to get small black wooden fists from somewhere, they put a whole through them and then they were attached to a wire which went round the neck like a choker. Looked f*cking sh*t they did.
  15. Loads of bargains left on this list from last month if anyone's interested
  16. Seems to me someone enjoyed one spot but didn't enjoy another - big deal - why the fuss?
  17. I knew I knew that Panics record. I got an email just now from a friend, Paul, and he said 'have you still got my Panics record' and I said what? He said it was in the cheapies boxes he gave me 2 months back - I just dumped them in the garage as there was nothing there - and lo and behold, there it was, a Swan demo. Obviously this makes me re-evaluate the record, I misjudged it before and now I think it's great so if anyone wants a copy, I'm your man! in case anyone thinks I make this stuff up..
  18. I did? I think there were only 300 of these pressed. Not had one for a while now. I don't like either side, funnily enough
  19. This isn't the highest calibre though. It's now an easy to find, non-demand 45 to anyone who knows anything - it's the ill informed sheep who end up paying double it's value in a JM auction. Half the records auction lately are sitting in most serious collectors boxes already.
  20. Love the record, another great little story.
  21. That's a very seldom seen bootleg nowadays. I'd ask £25 for that one.
  22. Grant if you're just selling on here, you need a wider distribution, it's not great but you could try facebook, there's a good half a dozen record selling groups you could list on for free. Or start compiling and saving a mailing list of your own. If I didn't have mine I couldn't survive. I would say I sell 85% of everything on my own list, 10% on here and facebook and 5% elsewhere. Having said that, they changed yahoogroups today and there's a feature where you can see 'bouncing' email addresses. To my horror I had over NINE HUNDRED people on my list who didn't have those email addresses anymore but never told me LOL the majority went back to 2001 to 2003. And I was seeing names of old mates who'd disappeared, people who'd passed away etc. Was glad to get out of there!
  23. £750, I honestly think you could spend that on £5 records and all 150 of them would be better than Irma Routen. You could easily find £150 x £5 records better than that. And as Steve said - you could have a George Blackwell or a Mel Britt for a similar price. George Blackwell, Mel Britt, Irma Routen. Spot the odd one out. (Clue: two are classics. One is not). But you can't blame the person selling the record. Thats their job, to sell the records.
