  1. I really have to get rid of all the sh*t in my garage so if anyone wants any of these items they can have them for nothing if they come and pick them up, if not I'll give them to the British Heart Foundation, everything is in perfect working order, we have as follows: Sky Box Epson printer An LG surround sound dvd player, this comes with two tall speakers and a big bass speaker, it did have two smaller speakers but I can't see them A Cambridge Audio dab radio hi fi separate A Sanyo record deck suitable if you don't have a deck with your hifi, it was only about £50 and nothing fancy but it'll play records which is the main thing A Sharp dvd recorder A Symphonic video & dvd player Philips audio cd recorder (these were the first commercial cd recorders, I paid £500 for mine back in 1998) I have two of these but have only found one remote. All of those above are absolutely free to anyone who wants them, just to repeat though, collection only I have a couple of other things I need a couple of bob for: This is a really bad photo but the unit is in nice condition, this is a Sony Mega-Storage CD jukebox which holds 200 cd's, fantastic idea but it's bloody big and I never had anywhere big enough to set it up. Bought it in about 2001 I think. I'd want £50 for this. I also have an Ion LP2CD which is basically a record deck with a built in hard disk, you record onto the hard disk and then insert a blank cd and burn your music onto the cd. It uses standard computer cd's. I paid a lot for this when it came out, about £250 I think, it's had a lot of use and I still use it for doing podcasts etc. No lid though I'm afraid. Asking £50 for this. One on ebay starting price £80. finally a Technics SL BD 22 deck, not sure what to ask for this, there are four on Ebay, three are old shop stock and they are asking £340 apiece! The other is a private sale of one without a lid starting at £15, no bids. So realistically I think I'd want maybe £40 for this. I'll find a mat for it. OK if anyone wants to speak to mgive me a ring on 01902 326306 or you can email me at pete.smith@freeuk.com
  2. I'm not going to say they don't exist but I've only ever seen large centre copies as well. You're right about his other ones having push out centres.
  3. I've seen 16rpm records, my Grandad had a couple, I think they were spoken word.
  4. They were in all UK record shops - Our Price, Virgin, all the High Street outlets had them, I bought all of them as they were issued from Our Price in Hastings, maybe after about NS Story 7 or 8 they had more trouble distributing them as I remember having to send off for a few after that.
  5. They were found in 2009. You ought to be looking at paying maybe £200 now.
  6. Nearly - same happened to me, received nothing, wrote a very angry letter to the same address and received my LP's eventually.
  7. I'd presume the UK presses always had centres so they could be played on record players where they were stacked - sorry don't know the technical term for it - on the centre pole, not much chance of being able to stack up to 8 records on there with no centres in your records. p.s. is it just me or does anyone else feel vaguely excited when they see a photo like the one below - transports me back to the 60's
  8. I played at Brighton at the Volks to no reaction whatsoever, and I'd played it to people like Mick Smith who didn't bat an eyelid so I thought maybe someone else could do a better job with it, think I sold it for 3 or 400 quid, I did record it but if it's anywhere it's on a minidisc and even if I found it, you can't record off a minidisc
  9. I bought two off you, two brilliant ones. MIdnight Johnny alt mix and Hattie Littles - ~Love heartache and misery or whatever it was called - it was a fantastic take, 100 times better than the one that came out on CD. I only ever played it out once, then I sold it to Stuart T. Wish I'd recorded it.
  10. I'd lock this topic if I were you Steve.
  11. I checked and the one on the video and the one I used on the podcast are the same recording. If anyone wants it, email me at pete.smith@freeuk.com and put soundfile as the subject and I'll send it to you. PLEASE DO NOT PM ME.

  21. I know you were.
  22. That's a coincidence, listening to it for the first time I thought it sounded like a Brenda Holloway number
  23. No there are several, I've had half a dozen myself so the actual figure must run into 3 figures. They are usually white labels, with the title typed on, and the words Jobete Music. This was Alan Pollard's Carolyn Crawford acetate which I sold a couple of years back.
  24. What about this one then...pre dates the Impressions - superb
