  1. The problem there though is that the man who is still playing Paul Anka is probably getting ten requests for it in every spot from the sheep, so what does he do, play to the crowd or play to himself?

  3. B J Thomas — I Don’t Have a Mind of My Own — Scepter Ex+ £30 Classic rare original most of the Pacemaker copies are boot legs The green Pacemaker copies are all originals, only the yellow styrene ones are bootlegs, the green originals not worth much more than the boots anyway.
  4. That's exactly what I meant. Why do they always concentrate on the baggy trouser stuff. There were hundreds of other people at the venues that they could have filmed.
  5. That's ok, just didn't get it. Anyway I'm out of here.
  6. What a moronic comment. Try harder. What's not liking a sh*t record got to do with clothes and the way NS is portrayed in media programs like this?
  7. Jeez, circle skirts and baggy trousers to the fore, this could have been filmed 40 years ago. It makes it look as if we haven't moved on at all.
  8. Yes we do. Get over it. You tell me I can't possibly like soul music because I don't like the same music as you, then can't be bothered to comment on two of the most soulful podcasts ever posted up on here which I compiled, now you're telling people what format they can and can't use. Who put you in charge?
  9. Not much of a habit, I've had thousands of them and I can't remember many instances where they put a ska track on the back of a contemporary one. On reissues, loads, but on originals?
  10. Bit bizarre putting the 1966 recording Doctor Ring Ding on the other side! That's on my copy as well.
  11. Coloured label Ironside is original. If it's on a white Ironside with black letters, then it's a reissue. I think.
  12. Paul Anka reissue £30 well done to the seller but Jesus who in their right mind would pay more than a tenner for that issue? It had 14 bids! https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300962143647&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT
  13. Rob I think this is actually called Street Doctor but it is a version of Sidewalk Doctor. On my copy it's Street Doctor anyway, but mine is on Studio One not Iron Side so is a reissue. Lots of high prices on popsike but many were from when the fake bidders were around. But at least £100.
  14. Just to confirm what John says. Originals have a very glossy, smooth red/orange label, reissues are mottled and vinyl is much thinner
  15. £100 - £125 still I would think. Not like there's a demand anymore.
  16. Yes he will be doing just that. That's why I've stopped selling on ebay. Nearly every one tries it on. Offer him a full refund, not a part one, that'll show if he's trying it on or not. Sick of people doing this to me Kegsy that's why I've gone over to Discogs permanently, and at least with Discogs you can leave the buyer negative feedback.
  17. Yeah I know how a record player works Mick I'm talking about the record on the bottom which is 'playing'
  18. Know what you mean
  19. The boot is useless, £5, the original not so hard as it used to be, £75 to £100 tops
  20. I think I did 4 volumes like this mate, they should still be on here somewhere
  21. It had to be because if the record was spinning the photo would blur, I presume?
  22. It was an option added to give the questioner an opportunity to make a note of which was the best answer basically.
  23. Mark sure has his facts mixed up! There was a label called Northern and a label called Northern de La in Detroit in the 60's, but the phrase Northern Soul wasn't even in place until the early 70's.
  24. Not bought a record from the USA now for over 2 years. Was getting some good reggae bargains, especially off Ebay Canada. Not any more.
  25. Yes thats what I mean
