  1. Because of the focus on the 40 years out of date clothes and the 40 years out of date style of dancing, it was supposed to be about NOW but it looked just like THEN. Joe Public really must think we haven't moved on since the mid 70's. Carmen is right, as are all of the other people who've commented on it, why was the focus on the tiny percentage of people who dress and dance retro compared to the thousands and thousands of others who don't walk into Mr Benn's changing room before a night out.
  2. A great lp that!
  3. I picked that up at a boot sale on Hastings cricket pitch (now a shopping centre) in 1989
  4. About 6 months ago I was selling a white demo on here for £25 and didn't get a single taker!
  5. This has everything BUT that LOL
  6. I think it was to be honest. I've got one here but always thought it was a reissue, I'm happy to be proved wrong, but in any case, Grant's price is right. On the one I've got there is a lot of info in the run off: 90758 B then something that looks like QCA handwritten then 323 then another weird stamp like a vertical line with a curved line going through it horizontally
  7. I've only ever had two on UK I think. Dark blue Stax, very hard to find. But what a record. Think I just slightly prefer Alton Ellis' version myself but love them both.
  8. Actually make that "did have"
  9. I've got an Excellent copy of the 1973 issue if you get stuck Steve, £25
  10. I know Dave's got one - seen them
  11. Is it not still available from their website?
  12. Also known to all rocksteady lovers as "Queen majesty". Stunning record. Both versions.

  14. If it had been me, I'd have just locked the topic. If it had been certain other sellers, nobody would have said a word. Sorry you had such an uncomfortable welcome to Soul Source, I don't think anyone meant any harm, it just went a bit over the top.

  16. Don't let yourself be bullied, if you think it belongs in this sales section then you put it in this sales section, all you have to do is be prepared for a negative reaction against it and by the looks of it, yourself. Yeah it's not very good but neither are loads of records sold on here. I'd like to see the next person selling George Lemons subjected to the same ridicule please.
  17. Not read a thing on Facebook Ali, I find it useful for posting family photos and thats about it really. Don't go though!
  18. And that's with gloves ON!
  19. He's on about Mark Soul
  20. Can you define this 'keyboard warriors' expression that keeps getting used, does that apply to anyone who didn't like the program and wasn't afraid to say so? (Not me, I loved it) Just because people don't go to venues doesn't mean they aren't as keen and passionate about the music as people who do.
  21. Just loads of people joining up to defend their mates, of whom the worst thing that anyone has said is that he thought a pair of Bridget Jones type big knickers were on view, that's the extent of people "attacking" Pete and Susan has been on here, nobody's said anything but nice things about them yet they all steam in without reading the entire topic.
  22. I agree actually, I was just getting carried away in the moment.
  23. I'm amazed it left you feeling depressed, the minute it finished I went in to Davina and said I want to go to an allnighter and get smashed, it really made me feel like going out again. Till about an hour later when I realised I couldn't be bothered.
  24. Only what he said on his podcast, but they have a website as well https://www.flipside45promotions.com/
  25. Don't think it's a UK press - they probably just out that on the label to confuse everyone
