  1. Is this a bit more representative Sooty?
  2. I can, it's on the All Night Oldies WVON FM bootleg lp with John & The Weirdest, Ty Karim, Seven Souls, Court Davis, Deadbeats on one side and a pile of modern tosh on the other side.
  3. I'll dig them out and let you know, I think I know where 1 & 2 are, not sure about 3.
  4. I first got one late 90's so they've certainly been around a while
  5. The single they put out on Goldmine was an alt take, this is an alt take, on the cd's they are alt takes, and none of them are as good as the original 45
  6. Speaking Of Happiness
  7. Anyone got one of these for sale? £10 or near.. cheers Pete
  8. I was convinced it was Wigan, but apparently it isn't, it really does look like it though. Love the line dancing in that play by the way.
  9. I've got one but it's seen better days. Nowhere near £40 though.
  10. Dave, it is in demand as a UK collectable, it's been known for years but only a handful of copies have ever turned up, all Polydor demos, I think I got the first one of Steve Eckersley. Never heard of an issue copy turning up. Lesley Langley was Miss World in 1965!
  11. lesley langley - new york - polydor
  12. I think I put a top bid of £22.88 on it which is my standard bid for something I'd like but aren't bothered if I don't win it or not. I'd still be interested to know how many Atco copies of this are around though.
  13. Might have been the grading, if the one I had was M- and £25 cheaper I can see why a VG++ one £25 more might not have sold!
  14. What happened with those was that I put together quite a collection of rare clips, this was before youtube, I did a compilation for a few people and then next thing, they turned up on this compilation Legends Of Rare Soul and I was told not to put them out any more because someone had the copyright, except they were using the clips I'd sourced, with the same gliches, drop out on the tape etc. It's a bit vague now as it was 11 years ago. There was a volume 3 as well.
  15. Must have been a rubbish bid if I won it for £11 John
  16. Yeah he had it up for at least 6 months at £75. I had a feeling they weren't going to send it. But they did.
  17. Apologies for not being able to upload any mixes for the last 2 weeks, been very busy, I should be able to get back to it all soon but meanwhile, if ever I'm in doubt, I just gather together a load of Northern Soul dancers I rated at 5 stars in iTunes and let it mix itself, which is exactly the case here, some - but not all - of my favourite oldies, absolutely perfect for weddings, christenings, retirement do's etc...everyone a dance floor winner. 18. Yay!!!!
  19. I couldn't remember if it had been or not but if it was then I can't complain if it's rediscovered
  20. I post in 4 separate record selling facebook sites and if I sell one record between the four I'm lucky! I would say my sales are something like 70% mailing list, 25% soul source, 5% elsewhere. And I still don't quite get facebook, there's hundreds of posts whizzing past on the right hand side, how do you know what to join in or not? I like it for posting up pictures of the kids though.
  21. Don't really collect UK nowadays but I do like oddball things, I remember having (and selling) the UK Polydor demo of this, then I found two USA Atco demos (Never even realised it came out there until I found the first one) which I also sold, so I thought I'd have a bid on this one, 11 bids and I won it for a tenner, if the sound sample is still up have a listen, yes it's a typical pop stomper but the backing is fantastic and of course I don't care if nobody else likes it vinyl copies sell for £75 or so https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LESLEY-LANGLEY-66-EMIDISC-ACETATE-MISS-WORLD-MOD-SOUL-HEAR-IT-/261299814319?_trksid=p2047675.l2557&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEWNX%3AIT&nma=true&si=WexYoaj%252FBuWt%252FvJIU6B65AQrfgk%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc
  22. I got the Please Mr Postman question wrong, I thought "Money" had got to number 1 first for some reason
  23. That's right I remembered the Jazz Workshop LP as well.
