  1. John Manship
  2. By the person who told me the information on how you tell an original.
  3. Wouldn't worry about it, nice to have someone new on board.
  4. If anyone's wondering why I deleted all my posts on how to tell an original, I was asked to delete them.
  5. It'll always be Northern Soul to me, Rare Soul can mean rare / hard to find Soul of any type e.g. Deep Soul. I don't like Deep Soul so I say I like Northern Soul not Rare Soul. Though I do like Rare Northern Soul.
  6. I agree with him
  7. Someone on here had an unissued Jerry Butler acetate which, if I remember rightly, was damaged - he posted half of it up and it was brilliant, and I did record it but can't remember a thing about it now. But if I can find the recording I'll post it.
  8. There's a good version of this by P.J. Proby. I think.
  9. Haven't got any of them but one was The Sapphires, that track with the same backing as Slow Fizz, also I think Eddie Parker - I'm Gone and Del Larks - Job Opening also possibly an unissued Major Lance track, but honestly can't remember.
  10. Sorry not nit-picking but there are at least 3 releases on Soul Series
  11. That's an incredible figure. Fortunately I've done a post for every one of them
  12. Find Yourself Another Girl isn't the same song as Find Yourself Another, if thats what you mean
  13. There's nothing on those that I wouldn't be afraid to show my kids! Apart from the trousers and haircuts maybe..
  14. yeah he mentioned both those in his first post Dave
  15. Plus he did the originals of most of those and people covered him, not vice versa
  16. Not the same song as Johnny Gilliam!
  17. By the way look at this beauty I got off ebay at the weekend and look at the price...John Manship got £300 for his last one and it's one of the few UK records I've never had before https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/121191437193?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
  18. I didn't know he did Find Yourself Another!
  19. Shaun if I've still got one I will give you it! Old Cats sound by the way.
  20. I just sold one in a pack of 150 records for 100 quid!
  21. Blimey you should be able to pick one of those up for about £2
  22. You're right, I ought to ask him how come it was back up for sale again...after he'd been left feedback for buying it
  23. No I'm wondering how he can sell these two records, and then a month later he can sell the same identical records. Unless someone allegedly bid on them for him to stop them selling for prices too low, so he doesn't have to sell them. I'd love to see the list of bidders on his other stuff to see how he managed to get such high prices on everything. But I could be totally wrong and it's all legit.
  24. https://www.ebay.co.uk/csc/monkly2/m.html?LH_Complete=1&_ipg=48&_since=15&_sop=13&_rdc=1 Seller getting amazing prices for stuff, including a Chubby Checker at £454 and a Gene McDaniels at £76. However, if you scroll down to the bottom of the page, he'd already sold these two records on september the 1st. Same identical copies. And a Mary Love with no centre for £176!
