  1. Report him someone!
  2. His release of Love You Baby carried this message on the label: "Exclusively licensed to Soul Galore Productions". Licensed from who? Anyway Lorraine I think he may have repented, last I heard someone said he had become a minister or something like that!
  3. Not much point really - we aren't the police or anything. I'm just thinking that the first time it was advertised, someone bid it up so that it wouldnt go for less than they wanted it to, and it didn't make it so it went to the mate - second time, mate bids it up again but someone outbids him this time, record is sold once and for all. Though the Gene McDaniels sold for less the second time than it did the first time. Of course someone could have two copies of Chubby Checker - I once had a demo and an issue at the same time - but 2 issues, unlikely. So, I might as well close this one now, nothing more to add really.
  4. Never mind, joke probably works better face to face, there was a laughing icon below my post
  5. It's right though isn't it - Edwin does do the vocals on I'll Love You Forever, and Makin Up Time is on the B side? (Not the version above though)
  6. Yes it is Ted, pack it in!
  7. Probably off one of the Goldmine Groovesville cd's mate. They had several versions. One was called Pigsfeet!
  8. There's more than one record he's sold twice Dave.
  9. Yeah and as I said, it had been sold previously to that, same copy, same sleeve, same seller.
  10. I'm sure Chalky told me that Ronnie said it was actually recorded at his school
  11. I just about got £25 for my copy of the Tommy Tucker EP!
  12. I mean good grief, look at the state of it, terrible photocopy label and they cut the centre hole way too big.
  13. Yes but highly unlikely!
  14. Nowadays this would have got in the top 10 from it's sales, but back then you could sell 30,000 or more copies of a record and it wouldn't dent the charts, singles were so popular. But as Lorraine was part of the team who made it - I think she would have deserved to become the 'face' of the record if it went on TOTP.
  15. At last, an update to my blogsite LOST VINYL GEMS OF THE 60's and it's an ALL SOUL one too - featuring full label scans and write ups of: JACKIE BOND - STRIKE THE CARROLLS - POLYDOR BILLIE DAVIS - DECCA DEMO BOBBY GOLDSBORO - UNITED ARTISTS LESLEY LANGLEY - EMIDISC THE CRYSTALS - UNITED ARTISTS BOBBY MOORE & THE RHYTHM ACES - CHESS DEMO LOU RAWLS - CAPITOL DEMO THE ROYALETTES - CAPITOL DEMO THE SHANGRI LAS - RED BIRD DEMO JERRY BUTLER - MERCURY DEMO https://lostvinylgemsofthe60s.blogspot.co.uk/
  16. How about this for a nice bargain - Bobby Moore & The Rhythm Aces - Searching For My Love / Hey Mr DJ - original UK Chess white demo. £1.75 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/281187324123?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
  17. It's games like Uncharted 3. I'm on about the second generation PS3, the slimline one, which has now been replaced by a remodelled slimline one!
  18. Sony should have done something about the PS3 problem, what happens is when you insert a particular game, it sounds like it's going to load but then you hear it try to eject the game, and it doesn't load. At first I thought this was just our PS3 but after ding a search, there were thousands of people with the same problem - but Sony deny it and always say it's a laser problem. I actually took mine apart to clean it, didn't make any difference, we ended up having to get the newer version. We use the older one in the front room as a dvd player, games machine and also you can use it as a server for streaming films etc of the computer, so it wasn't a waste of money buying the second one but if that boy thinks he's getting a PS4, he can dream on!
  19. Yeah I guessed as much. It's not just these though: a lot of multi-layer PS3 games won't actually play on the PS3, only on the most recent version. Utter rip off.
  20. I don't know why this happens. About 80% of dvd's from 10 years or so ago won't play anymore. Even if they aren't scratched or damaged. My originals of the Northern Soul dvd's wouldn't play, I had to extract all the VOB files or whatever they are called and make an iso of each one to burn. I think I know where these are.
  21. OK will report back if successful
  22. Shall I ask him if it's meant to say £55?
  23. Has anyone ever seen an original 60's record with a bevelled edge?
  24. Best ask him
