  2. That one on Work Your Soul was originally released on a CD by the label Heartbeat in the 90's as one of about 6 unreleased takes on the compilation. There were a couple of other soul versions of Rocksteady tracks, trying to remember what they were.
  3. No I don't think so but I did have a soul version which I've never heard before or since, I sold it to Stuart Tyler I think, it was brilliant
  4. Does anyone know who these guys are, they sent me £20 but with no address and nothing to say what it's for: TopNotchMusic|SoulsideProductions
  5. Thanks to the lads above for proving I wasn't going mad - Bretby 6 tracker...I knew I'd had it
  6. I'm starting to wonder if I'm wrong about it being on an anniversary single - maybe it was a promo CD and not a record...I can just remember a 4 track EP I'm sure it was that. Anyway someone's bound to know.
  7. Started maybe 92, I think I compiled their first two Pye / Piccadilly Northern CD's for them and did the sleeve notes but that was really before CD's got that popular but they must have had the rights for a good 10 years and released more or less everything in the vaults, loads of Psych and Joe Meek stuff
  8. Makes sense as Sanctuary found it when rooting through the Pye archives and JS was one of their top producer / arrangers.
  9. Yet another reason not to pay the BBC the license fee
  10. I know for a fact that Chris licensed Chapter Five and Micky Moonshine from the copyright owners, and the sound quality is absolutely fantastic.
  11. No it's definitely on a single, it might be an EP I can't remember - it was licensed from Sanctuary Records - and it was definitely for some club's anniversary
  12. It's on an anniversary single can't remember which one sorry

  14. IT SAYS 'PETE' BUT IT'S FOR EVERYONE WHO DONATED, THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN THE FUND HIT £4000 LAST WEEKEND Pete, you were in the top 1% of donors for February You were one of the most generous donors on JustGiving in February. 15. This afternoon I advertised a Seven Souls for cash or trade...cash price was £380...after half an hour nothing happened, then someone said they'd buy it, I said ok. Five minutes later someone on facebook offered me £600 in trades which I would have snatched his arm off for. But I'd already said yes to the sale so had to say no to the trade. Some people will do this, some won't, that's when you decide who is worth buying from.
  16. THE SEVEN SOULS - I STILL LOVE YOU - OKEH DEMO EX **SOLD** I can't believe I've still got this - but I can't afford to have expensive records sitting on my shelves so I'm going to reduce this one last time. Condition is Ex, plays practically mint except for a very light burn just before it starts and on the first split second of the first note. £380 or trades.
  17. Could I just say thank you to people from Soul Source who donated but some of you have sent me paypal payments with no addresses on so don't have anywhere to send the CD's to! So if you are a person from Soul Source who has paid me can you just make sure I have your address.
  18. Very rare record but at least I am in print as saying it was crap 30 years ago and not just jumping on a bandwagon! Possibly one of only maybe 5 British records I've never had - but never actually looked for. I'd love to know who the singer actually was.
  19. I'm afraid that's not going to happen mate. I received this message on Sunday. "I sincerely hope the charity funding works a treat for the youngster. However, a word to the wise......several heavyweight collectors/DJs are fuming and are looking to cause you problems. " So I'm afraid I have had to stop doing the cd's as I can't spend time fighting these people. Everything on that CD was either mine, or was taken from public domain sources e.g. youtube audio, eBay sound clips. But on the positive side, the fund reached £4000 due to the efforts of myself and all the great people who've supported it. https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/louie2008?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=shares-from-email&utm_campaign=sponsor-receipt-email-share-facebook&utm_content=louie2008%3Futm_medium%3Demail&post_id=10152470961751929_10155179787881929#_=_
  20. If you clearly state your rules at the beginning of the sale then there shouldn't be a problem. Mine is "I sell records on a first come, first served basis".
  21. That delta number indicates it was made in 1975 also
  22. Think I paid about £38 for it
