  1. Dave it's Peaches, it came with a 'blackmail' lettering sleeve.
  2. I still get a thrill every time I hear this record, reminds me of saving up my paper round money for weeks to buy my first ever made to order Emidisc - Hot Line with Lou Pride on the other side. 1975, 15 years old with the whole world in front of me...
  3. The ones below were done in the 80's, 90's (mainly) and 00's, the others were all done in the 70's (1st section I mean) Natuarl Four/ I thought you were mine/Eddie Bishop - Call me -ABC Patti Austin - I’ve give you all my love - Coral Martels - Where can my baby be - A La Carte Frankie Karl - You should have held on - Congress Donna Coleman - Your loves too strong - Avin/Chandlers - You love makes me lonely - Col Soul Bettye Swann - Kiss my love goodbye - Atlantic Jackie Lee - Darkest Days/Oh, my darlin’ - Mirwood (Solid middle) The Trends - Thanks for a little lovin - ABC Tangeers - Let my heart and soul be free - Oheh
  4. Not at all, just trying to understand why people are so anti, at the end of the day - it's just a book!
  5. Nobody 'needs' it, it's just there, what's the problem?
  6. The top 500 is a list of records, some great, some not. It serves a very useful purpose, it reminds us of the great records that have been played over the last 50 years. People are boring, lists rule.
  7. Can I just said that I only commented in the first place because it said comments are welcome!
  8. It does mention Better Use Your Head in the advertising!
  9. I agree with you, Sweets is miles better. They're both good though.
  10. Some of these are worth £25. Some are only worth £5. Worth doing a bit of price checking first. Nobody's going to pay £25 for a Rita Dacosta bootleg.
  11. Any UK label things Davie?
  12. It certainly wouldn't have had that Stevie Wonder track on, thats for sure
  13. Saw them at Wigan in July 1977
  14. Ray Merrell bootleg worth about £10, currently £100 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ray-Merrell-Tears-Of-Joy-Searching-BOY-22-UK-7-Jay-Boy-/291006278155?pt=UK_Records&hash=item43c1536a0b
  15. It is, and it isn't. As someone who has dipped in and out of collecting British releases for 30 years, I still wouldn't touch a record with no centre. So it's not about what's in the grooves. If I really loved the record I'd get it on a pressing if it existed, otherwise I'd go without. If something was dead cheap I'd buy it without a middle, but it would be the evil steptwin kept in the attic.
  16. Was an 'unknown' til late 70's though...
  17. Yes I am, all the time. Genuinely. I don't understand why someone would pay £200 for something they could get for £50.
  18. Nothing amazes me anymore. I sold one of those for £60 about 3 months ago. Cos thats all it's worth.
  19. Damn, thats two people who've said that in the last 5 minutes
  20. Possibly - just possibly - the rarest Popcorn tune issued in the UK - on the super obscure Airborne label - JOHNNY McBEE - NOTHING BUT LOVE - AIRBORNE NBP 0001. I can confidently say that this is possibly the finest example of this record you'll ever come across - it's mint minus, spotless vinyl, spotless labels. Only been offered this once, ever, about 10 years back. £225.
  21. Yeah I probably did, just didn't remember this one, it's Grace's birthday today so I was looking for some photos of her to put on Facebook
  22. Yeah this is a big, bulky book but they layout inside is scattershot, if done properly it could be great
