  1. So do I, but we agree beforehand what the lowest they will go to is, so we start it at one price but if it doesn't sell, I've got carte blanche to keep reducing it until it's gone. If the price is unrealistic, I tell them.
  2. Hold on, who's Jet, Tony and Guy?
  3. Thats easy for you to say...
  4. Does make you think though. One one site there are two copies for £75, and on another there is a copy for £350. One or the other has to be wrong.
  5. Looks great but I bet it sounds like sh*te
  6. Send anything else while you're at it, it's about time I did a decent list
  7. OK next list I do I'll put it on there and see what happens! I don't actually have to have it in my hands.
  8. Excellent summing up mate, though I could probably get you £125 for it though, 20% commission
  9. Spot on. Last week I tried to give someone some advice on a couple of records that were priced way too high and someone else came on and said I'd f*cked up the guy's sale - if anything, it would have helped the sale. Anyway thats why I started a separate thread this time. I have to laugh when I see things like Ketty Lester "Some things" and HB Barnum "It hurts" described as 'rare stock copy'...there are no demos!
  10. Didn't want to ruin the sellers sales advert so making a new post but come on, do me a favour Jackie Burns & Bo Bells— I Do the Best I Can — MGM DJ M- £75 Rarer US copy - spotless yellow demo Rarer US copy? It sold about 5 copies in the UK and the rest are demo copies. Whereas the US copy was distributed in it's thousands to every radio station in the land.
  11. Yes he's a teacher in Manila, been there as long as I've been on the internet so that's late 1996, I know him and Keb have become mates and have meetups etc.
  12. If it's under a tenner, pretty likely to be a boot!
  13. Shane Cosgrove is a good pal of mine and many others, especially from the old KTF days, I'm relieved he's okay, fingers crossed for Keb.
  14. It's not the version that used to be credited to Diana Ross and then Barbara Mercer is it?
  15. £25 I'd have said
  16. Last year (8th nov) I had a dispute with a guy over 3 records I won, he tried to charge me £3 postage for each of them and wouldn't combine the postage (so he was charging £9 instead of £2.50) so I refused to pay for them and got 3 Non Paying Bidder strikes against me. Does anyone know how long these stay on my Ebay record? It stops me from bidding on some items if the seller has stressed no NPB's, but it's been over a year now...
  17. It was only because he said he couldn't find words to describe it, so I thought of one for him. T'was a joke. Never mind. I'll be off.
  18. I dread to think
  19. Dunno, because it's a discussion forum maybe? If it's all about opinions - why can't I have one?
  20. Well thought out comeback Graham - is your Dad bigger than my Dad as well?
  21. I appreciate that not everyone likes the same thing. But it sounded like track 6 side 2 of an album.
  22. Gold Okeh's are just an earlier different design, they phased them out and replaced them with white ones (ah but you said silver - so ignore me)
  23. I'd have had to include Suspicion and Crying In The Night but also Carolyn Crawford "Until You Came Along", I don't think she ever made anything less than brilliant for Motown
