I used to love Russ' spots 76 to end of 77, they'd really bring you up as he'd play anything you asked him for. Come Casino Classics etc, it got a bit silly, glad I stopped going before it ruined my memories of his really good spots, a couple of which I've posted up on Mixcloud

Decca / London / RCA / Brunswick /Vogue UK demos from that period are two one sided demos, instead of being a double sided demo. So they are always getting split up. You've only got the complete demo if you have both halves, side A and side B. They stopped this practice in 1960 by the looks of it. n.b. Have also had Parlophone demos as two x one sided discs

No, came out on UK Brunswick 05643, 1957, she had at least 2 singles on that label in the UK. Have you got the other half of the demo?

As a 'northern soul' record - I agree with you. As a good 60's record - love it.

Hard to remember now but they were both around in massive quantity at the time of release / play, I had both.

I maintained there wasn't one until someone put one up for sale here about 3 years ago

I think a lot of business, companies, even individuals think by going with Facebook, they've left the rest of us behind and don't need to look back. Look at all the soul groups on facebook, people have left here to join those for whatever reason, but none of them come anywhere near this forum, one reason being the format that facebook is in. If the people involved in the film think that their target audience is entirely situated on facebook, I think they've made a very big mistake

These were the really, really good counterfeits, included a vinyl Mel Britt, George Blackwell, Anderson Bros, Salvadors, Joe Romans etc took people a while to suss it out...they were quickly followed by styrene versions, but the first, vinyl ones, were very convincing
