  1. There's a Tonnettes on red vinyl, all those Bobby Patterson things on yellow vinyl, various coloured vinyl 60's bootlegs from P.A. including The Volumes, Blues Busters on red vinyl though thats Jamaican I think...
  2. I do to, specially the intro
  3. Thats the carver, yes
  4. How many Martin's do you remember being in the Bible? Maybe we forgot about them along with all the Alberts, Normans and Cyrils. "And God did sayeth unto Frank...."
  5. I'd love to know why there is a gold vinyl of The Professionals. Was it to get it noticed?
  6. It 100% definitely sold on ebay, I did 3 carvers off the recordings so I know I'm not imagining it. Thought it was less than that price though...
  7. Definitely some great items added to that auction - except for Tobbie Bowe
  8. I wonder why John is saying it's the first time it's ever appeared on the web, it was on ebay with full sound clips of both sides, someone on here won it..
  9. See what you mean. It's swinging alright but as far removed from Northern Soul as anything I've ever heard.
  10. March 11th 78, got it on tape, my 18th birthday allnighter
  11. I'm sure Minshull was first to play Black Power, same night as he played Tim Tam for the first time?
  12. And "Empire Made" by Terry Rawlings & Keith Badman, smashing little book about the 60's and Mod culture
  13. One of em anyway
  14. Came out on Motown I think?
  15. Found it - What The World Needs Now / Abraham, Martin & John by Tom Clay
  16. You have to be kidding? There's even a version which uses commentary from the assassinations of Kennedy and King between the verses!
  17. Nice selection
  18. No he did - we're not talking about the styrene pressings that came a month or so later, these were proper counterfeits
  19. Tis what he calls himself...Manships Rare Soul Price Guide
  20. That is a scan of a bootleg on yellow vinyl, 100% sure on that.
  21. Oswald did not act alone!
  22. I think all copies of Shop Around on LOndon demo are double sided Dave, it's Money by Barrett Strong which has two one siders.
  23. Homer Banks at £240, you could by four copies for that...and as for Jackie & Millie at £95, I'm going to put the price of my next one up to £25 after seeing that
  24. That top one was The Alan Lorber Orchestra, I used to have this on tape. No idea where it came from. The second, nobody seems to know who did that, it was issued on the other side of EVie Sands on the Slow Fizz label. The I Have Faith In You was the original backing track Simon S managed to procure.
  25. Yeah but would you trust it - if ever a pile of records was going to appear out of nowhere...it'd be on one of his labels
