  1. Yes he does, those are the main reasons he prices them as he does, the most desirable records are always going to be the most expensive! What do you think he basis his prices on, the label design?
  2. Easiest way of telling - can you peel the label off?
  3. Again, makes no sense, Mirwood's quality control was very good, and they'd have used the same master to press both styrene and vinyl. Can understand the bootleg being lesser quality, not the original.
  4. I never heard that until 2005!
  5. p.s. who on God's earth would pay £150 for a copy of this?
  6. Can't believe there are no vinyl originals, there are of every other Mirwood record. The one in the picture has the correct delta number. Also it was booted as a white demo. Don't believe all you read in books
  7. Remember it well Tim - I remember swapping a really nice DJ record box for a cassette of about 12 top sounds with two guys from telford who used to go the Laf (one was called Span I think)
  8. Was that an issue? I forgot all about that.
  9. Magnifying glass & scalpel...
  10. Just the pink issue

  12. I could make you one that looks like that in a weeks time...and thats the problem - no label, no info apart from some pencil musings on the sleeve. I'm sure it's legit but it's hard to prove it.
  13. Sure Steve. And thanks for the packaging, can always use it (mainly the cardboard inners)

  15. I'd have given mine away if anyone wanted it. I used it though, but if anyone wanted the tracks they'd only have to ask.
  16. That's where most people played it from when it was first discovered.
  17. I've got it on Goldmine Sevens - prefer that to the Soul City as some of those weren't great.
  18. It's the sheep element again, they see that girl dancing to the tune in the video and have to have it, suddenly the £40 record doubles in price...it's happened with every single track which has gone into the mainstream, whether featured on a tv slot, an advert, Manship auction, whatever...
  19. Thing is with the Sandy Golden - the Sweets record with the same backing is miles better but goes for 4 or 500 quid - 9 grand for a record which can only be described as 'pleasant' doesn't make sense. Still, if you've got it, flaunt it...
  20. You sure it wasn't Andy Williams?
  21. They could be called The Four Black Blokes for all I care, it sounds white
  22. I'd have thought they'd do the pink one first, maybe sell local, then if it got popular do another run with a more attractive label?
  23. 6 - too late for that, was 74/75
