Gwen Owens Just Say You're Wanted (And Needed) White Demo On Velgo
Pete S replied to The Milk Man's topic in Website Sales
The thing is, records were made to be played, so in the 60's my Mom had a few hundred 45's which she let me play with, and I started buying my own records in 1968, I can tell you that none of them had sleeves, we threw the sleeves away and the records were just piled on top of one another. This is probably what happened to 50% of all records sold in the 60's. -

Which Northern Track You Dislike The Most
Pete S replied to MrsWoodsrules's topic in All About the SOUL
Agree with most of those but not Rat Race, that is one hell of an instrumental, from my early days on the scene, this was like a bolt from the blue, what a stomper. And Marva Jones is a nice record too. -

It sounded good played out loud back then! -
It does sound like a one groove skip doesn't it. The record itself definitely doesn't jump so yes, bad master!
-
Much appreciated mate, thanks.
-
It's a pressing fault only on the UK copies. Issue on my website, it is the only record on the entire page that wasn't my own copy: It's right down the bottom I think https://lostvinylgemsofthe60s.blogspot.co.uk/

What is OVO? OVO is "Obviously" OVO Definition / OVO Means The definition of OVO is "Obviously" The Meaning of OVO OVO means "Obviously" So now you know - OVO means "Obviously" - don't thank us. YW! Web definitions OVO is the soundtrack to the Millennium Dome Show in London that was composed by Peter Gabriel. It was his eleventh album overall. It was released on 12 June 2000 and features guest vocals by Neneh Cherry, Rasco, Richie Havens, Elizabeth Fraser and Paul Buchanan. ...

What does this mean exactly? I'm clueless about this sort of thing.
-
Sorry to disagree. Nothing stirs the loins more than a lovely red and white UK demo...even if it's by Ken Dodd
-
I don't think it devalues it at all really, as long as you tell people that it's there beforehand
-
Had 3 x UK demo 3 x USA demo 1 x USA issue never had a sniff of a UK orange issue what a record
-
No it's way longer than that
-
They are quite rare on US pressings, common on UK, but there's a cracking one on the original of Vicki Nelson - Stoney Face - except I can't remember what it says.
-
There's no boot of this, it wasn't played hardly in the 70's so that's why there's no release of it from then.

Info On 3 Records Needed Please 3 Modern 1 Sixties
Pete S replied to Pete S's topic in Look At Your Box
You don't owe me an apology, it's just a discussion about records I think...much more important things to worry about after my record shed roof blew off last night (see batten down the hatches thread) -

Post is over 2 years old Dave, got none of those anymore. I don't even remember them! -
Yeah that is a very early play for the Twans but are you sure about the Barbara Pennington ban, I have massive memories of it being played at the 3rd anniversary at least twice, Blanche Carter was played like 3 times, I still don't think there's enough atmosphere for it to be the actual anniversary if you compare it to the two tapes I've got but I do think it's before it

Jock Mitchell - Not A Chance In A Million (Impact)
Pete S replied to Premium Stuff's topic in Look At Your Box
There's two boots of this, the one with Nabay on the back and a better looking counterfeit, but easy to spot as it's vinyl not styrene. (Why do idiots call Nabay "Narbay" and even bootleg it as "Narbay?) -
