  1. There's a version of "There Goes The Forgotten Man" on UK Liberty. I've seen it. Once. It was in the collection of Paul Walker from Penn, Wolverhampton. Nobody else has ever seen a copy apparently and there are no scans of it anywhere. It's listed in all UK Liberty listings and GM discographies though.
  2. It's Wigan but it's not This England.
  3. Well here's a way to tell. Is there anything on side 2?
  4. There's two possibilities here. One, it's an original. Two, it's the reissue with a good quality photocopy of the original label stuck on it.
  5. Gene McDaniels - Compared To What sounds nothing like him
  6. It's on a Jah Guidance 7" Malc, 1980. I hate this roots shite
  7. Never heard of about 20 of them. Levi Stubbs, Chuck jackson for me
  8. £150
  9. It was that price until about 6 years ago!
  10. Charles Diamond is the same as Inspirations basically, it's a re recorded vocal, equally as good as the original. We just called that pink label one a 'pressing' but nowadays it would be described as 'an official reissue'. I don't think it ever came out again, and there are only one or two original copies of the first version. Magnificent record.
  11. Update £1250 ends 8pm tonight
  12. OK I have ended this one.
  13. I don't know why the price suddenly shot up. 6 or 7 years ago I was regularly selling this for £40, £50.
  14. Royal Bank of Scotland pressing.
  15. and you as well!
  16. I think Back Beat's rarer than Soul City.
  17. As is the man above!
  18. That price for Shirley Lawson is a joke, if it was withdrawn then they carried on selling afterwards because there are hundreds of copies around, that's three times what it's worth in my opinion. The Contours, any reasonable person would pay maybe £50. Still what do I know about British..
  19. There are at least two yellow ones with black lettering, one has shocking sound quality. I'm not certain about one with red writing but it looks kosher to me. The rare one is the original green styrene copy.
  20. That's only just out as an official Kent single as well. Fair enough if it's some obscure 60's thing which is impossible to license, but this is taking it a bit far, I wonder how Lorraine Chandler feels about this?
