  1. Did I dream it or is their a Aussie Verve "Living A Lie"?
  2. To someone interested in records this is infinitely more interesting than the 100 Club Singles thread, we've all seen these but there's still loads of Aussie 45's which are way off the radar. And as Pikeys Dog says on that thread, who cares what they go for?
  3. That really is double the price it should be though. Last one I had I sold for £700 and I wouldn't ask more for it now.
  4. NEW BOSS IN TOWN A brand new collection of (mainly) Early Reggae and Boss Sounds, lots of instrumentals on this, apologies if too many, but there were several good tunes that I've never included in podcasts before. Quite a few rare tracks in this set, and unusually for one of my comps, quite a few UK recorded tracks this time as well. 5. That's because everyone was coming up when Russ was on and wanted to get the gear working, hence loads of people on the floor early
  6. He's got all the guides has Mal, he knows more about Oz 45's than anyone I know. He hasn't got that weird New Zealand copy of Fife Piper that I've got though, on the old early 60's purple Pye label.
  7. I could live without soul completely if I could keep my rocksteady and early reggae.
  8. Only ones who have 100,000 company sleeves
  9. Ah thats a good point. Please add Jazz to my couldn't bear to listen to if it was the only music on earth pile.

  11. With a little help from my mate in NY, he found out that it was actually sent out for delivery weeks ago, so as you expect, it's just been dumped with someone
  12. When my brothers mother in law died about 5 years ago, they went round her house to clear up and found a soul pack from Goulds (Wolverhampton) still in the shop bag, it belonged to his wifes brother who was into soul in the mid 70's, anyway he gave it to me and most of it was rubbish except for a Four Voices We Live In The Ghetto and Derek Martin If You Go. So although it was originally sold circa 1974, I did find them within the last 20 years. (Normally you'd get a lot of later Gordy imports and stuff like that)
  13. Anything except for house / dance / rave / techno. Actually I already do listen to everything except that stuff.
  14. Awesome record, had this on a blank for years, I also have The Break, I paid £275 for that! So I ebayed it and got back half of what I paid. Damn fake bidders making me pay over the top.
  15. Sarcastic. Was expecting to hear Dean Martin come in on vocals.
  16. Dunno but I think it was recorded live in Las Vegas
  17. I don't know Steve but I've had one of those as well!
  18. It says: TS 104 A on side 1 TS 104 B with an A scratched out next to it on side 2, not 100% certain it is an A as it's only the top of an A, sort of thing
  19. Looks legit to me.
  20. I guessed there might be as it was one of the titles that were done on styrene after first appearing on vinyl (Salvadors, Anderson Bros, Mel Britt, George Blackwell, Dave Newman) but I've never seen or heard of one until you two have mentioned it and that's after 38 years since it was pressed. Though they were done by the same person who did the styrene ones so not sure why it would be of poor sound quality.
  21. Easy to tell BIlly. Original is styrene. Reissue is vinyl.
  22. Steve, the boot has got a delta number but it's been scratched out partially, I thought it hadn't got one but it has
  23. Came out on a CD called Wigan Casino Monsters and it's B side came out on Northern Soul Fever 4
