  1. Those machines must still be around Gene, I bought this last year, looks great
  2. Well James Bond is a tough cookie to find and is £100+ these days, but you can pick up a Phoenix City for under £20 still (Doctor Bird label)
  3. Not sure why all the London demos would turn up from the same place, doesn't make sense, they were distributed to the usual outlets / agencies / tv companies, I was behind someone who got one in Eastbourne for instance.
  4. Oh Nick sorry, I've used it as well, on my blogsite, along with the story so far...if I have any facts wrong you can always PM me to issue the bollocking https://lostvinylgemsofthe60s.blogspot.co.uk/
  5. Someone emailed it me and asked if I knew anything - I said it sounds New Orleans circa 1960 to me, but I have no idea who it is. Weird vid too.
  6. Can't talk - still sulking
  7. Sorry Kegsy couldn't remember selling you anything since Eula Cooper about 15 years ago LOL or did you sell it me...
  8. I clean every record I send out Kegsy. F*ck you on about.
  9. Yeah but to me, when it's nothing to do with me! I just posted it up in facebook and said it was the real deal. If someone had offered me 10K for a record it would have been done and dusted already :-)
  10. I really can't contain my excitement. Oh hang on, yes I can after all.
  11. F*ck, bang goes the football that I'd recorded, cheers for that!
  12. I posted it first thing, with the photos, the number of shares it's had is phenomenal, in fact you could say it's "gone viral". Always wanted to say that. Don't know why, it's nearly as bad as saying "choon". Needless to say, if that was mine I'd have already taken the 10K I was offered for it earlier
  13. I texted him this morning but he'll just shrug his shoulders when he reads it :-)
  14. You are right Steve, nobody thought it existed.
  15. They'll probably credit whoever auctions it with discovering it and not mention the chap who did find it
  16. No he's says that makes us even on Charlene & The Soul Serenaders now apparently it was double what I sold it for in the first place, no wonder I'm f*cking poor
  17. Thank you John but Steve above sorted it out for me cheers
  18. It's quite hard to define Studio One rocksteady though I think, because they were making records in 67 that could have come from 69, the whole sound is kind of their own...whereas with a T Isle or Amalgamated record from the same period, it's pure rocksteady. Say something like "Moving Away" - is it RS or Reggae?
  19. No the rules were changed for podcasts because hardly anyone was seeing them when posted in audio / visual, so now they go in all about the soul as more of a news item.
  20. Pep doesn't really sell his records though does he? I've known him 40 years and never even got to look in his box! He was always very guarded.
  21. I did tell them about it but no response
  22. It's all round the world now, my facebook post has been shared loads of times, it really is historic
  23. Only saw Pep on here when Helen died I'm afraid. He's on facebook though - Ian Perriera (might not be quite right)
