I think Sugar Simone is to be honest. I'm also thinking that acetate may be fake because I've seen another identical one. -

Not that much to do with this, but this is the original John E Paul acetate and note the title is I Want To Know, same as Sugar Simone, and not I Wanna Know which it eventually came out as -

THE NORTHERN SOUL YEARS – 1976 Here is the second of three parts. A mate asked me to do a mix of the kind of stuff that was big when we first started on our Northern Soul journey – 1975, 1976, 1977 – well it turned out to be an epic journey and 1975 alone has 68 tracks! So I hope you enjoy the music and the anecdotes. As I do 1976 and 1977 there will be less talking and more music but I felt I needed to set the scene and explain what things were like back then. The records are all from my own collection so if I haven’t got it, then it’s not on the list. And it’s not a ‘biggest sounds of 1975’ kind of thing, it’s a true reflection of the records we listened and danced to. Danny Monday – Baby Without You Rpm Generation – Rona’s Theme The Matta Baby – Do The Pearl Girl Mel Britt – She’ll Come Running Back Anderson Brothers – I Can See Him Loving You James Fountain – Seven Day Lover Jean Carter – Like One Earl Jackson – Soul Self Satisfaction Dean Parrish – Determination Billy Prophet – What Can I Do Jeanette Harper – Put Me In Your Pocket Johnny Vanelli – Seven Days Of Loving You Maurice Williams – Being Without You Candi Staton – Now You’ve Got The Upper Hand G. https://www.mixcloud.com/mayfairmenthol/new-sounds-vs-old-classics/ NEW SOUNDS VS OLD CLASSICS Well this is certainly a departure from the norm for me, the first 50 minutes or so feature nothing except new releases – well let’s say contemporary releases, nothing more than three years old, but they all have a 60’s feel to them so I’d be interested to know what people think about this sort of thing. The second half I recorded all from 60’s albums so there are some really interesting rare LP only tracks included. Benjamin & The Dreamdancers – Not One More Tear Lee Fields & The Expressions – Make The World Big Lee Dowell & The Cannonballs – What I Done Wrong El Count Executives – I Want To Thank You Neol Gourdin – Patience Lina – Dip Benjamin & The Right Direction – Light Of My Life Unsung Wonders – The Hurting Is Over The Allergies – Love’s Supposed To Be Deon Jackson – Pain In My Heart The Faithful Brothers – Night Man Cabbage Alley – Freedom Soul Dance Tenoshi – 25 Miles Zamali – No Luck To Run Jeanette Williams – Something’s Got A Hold On Me Esther Phillips – Just Say Goodbye (Stereo Mix) Bobby Williams – Baby I Need Your Love Otis Redding – The Boston Monkey Bud Harper – Mr. Soul Garland Green – Forty Days And Nights Eddie Holman – I Surrender (Alt. Version) Charlie Rich – Don’t Tear Me Down The Capitols – I Feel So Good Rufus Lumley – Stronger Than Me (Mono Mix) Trini Lopez – Wherever My Heart Leads Me The Supremes – Mother You, Smother You The Isley Brothers – Trouble Wilson Pickett – Baby Don’t You Weep Willie Kendrick – Change Your Ways The Professionals – That’s Why I Love You The Isley Brothers – Whispers (Getting Louder) Tammi Terrell – Tears At The End Of A Love Affair Chris Jackson – I’ll Never Forget You Ohio Players – Love Slipped Through My Fingers Timi Yuro – It’ll Never Be Over For Me
