  1. I love Frankie Crocker too..and Bari Track... time to reopen the instrumentals thread. Or what about instrumentals which are better than their vocal versions...like Sidras Theme
  2. I've got a few compilations of these answer type records, mainly Belgian boots (the comps I mean), must be around 100 tracks...the amount of records released really is mind boggling
  3. Didn't realise it was up on the net, cheers Ted Starts around 2:36
  4. Just found this in the garage, The Hi-Tones "Girls" Seg-Way It's a version of The Shirelles song "Boys" and has a pretty good R&B backing track and gritty vocals (B side is doo wop) Not saying it's anything, just wondered if it was known cheers
  5. I've got all of these if you want them Dave.
  6. I love it, me. One of the best instrumentals of all time.
  7. Steve there's probably about 50 pages to get through!
  8. I was thinking though, maybe the all in one page was just too much to take in?
  9. Oh I don't know, an auction maybe...I wouldn't pay more than £100 for it myself and never have!
  10. Sorry, only got a reggae version but Pat kelly is a great singer
  11. I've changed the design of my blog page and wondered what anyone thought, was it better with the 100's of labels there in one go, or is this better, in a column? https://lostvinylgemsofthe60s.blogspot.co.uk/
  12. It's the same song basically.
  13. Oriole in the UK mate, as was Contours
  14. Yes it was written by him - great B side too, his version of I Wanna Be Your Everything.
  15. Sorry I thought we were talking about Turley Richards.
  16. It's a bit older than that, I posted a tape up of Richard Searling it playing it at Wigan in July 77 saying it would take over where Jimmie Raye left off - he only played it twice again! Good version of this by Jimmy James on UK Piccadilly by the way, anyone.
  17. Post is nearly 2 weeks old though...before scans were posted
  18. Closing this as I do not want a really good thread turning into a personal argument. The Guardian article was spot on in my opinion. Not sure why people have to get personal. Original thread is still open here
  19. Save you the trouble Dave, I have a copy here, it is a nice record, very "You Send Me" ish...sort of old fashioned when it's probably around 1970?
  20. You know I live in a bungalow...turn it up
  21. I can understand why you, personally, would get fed up with hearing Joe Matthews on a weekly basis but it'd be a bit of a treat for me, I haven't heard it played out for 38 years
  22. Well said Rob.
