  1. Ian Levine's got that Barrons record, he put it one of his first podcasts.
  2. They just changed the design of the Harry J label, so both that and Liquidator can be found on the green one and the white one. There's also one that not that many people know, it originally came out on Escort without the string overdubs and didn't do a lot. The one with strings is miles better in my opinion. This is the Jamaican original below
  3. This is a cracking Alma Cogan record, female answer to "Fortune Teller"
  4. Those Duke of Soul cd's compile all the Northern tracks from Duke, Sure Shot, Back Beat etc
  5. It's 100% not UK. It has the same catalogue number in loads of countries so it's tricky. South African maybe?
  6. And the majority are worth under £5.
  7. FOR SALE GENE McDANIELS - POINT OF NO RETURN - UK LIBERTY R & W DEMO Okay I know it's not Northern but it's good early soul and on a spanking UK red and white demo, near mint £25 GENE McDANIELS - WALK WITH A WINNER - UK LIBERTY This has a transplant centre looks fantastic, vinyl is beautiful £60 DELROY WILSON - I'M IN A DANCING MOOD - UK ISLAND red and white Island, all time Ska classic, VG+ but plays great, not a knackered beat up copy like most are, clean labels and centre intact £20 copy below is just so you can hear what the song is like, as stated, my copy is nice
  8. And a little fade across the title and artist credit on one side
  9. Just in the process of putting about 100 Soul, Northern, Crossover, R&B new additions to Discogs sales, mainly C label 70's, some 60's, all very competitively priced. I mean cheap really don't I. https://www.discogs.com/seller/pete.smith
  10. Also, this is a vinyl record and there's absolutely nothing in the grooves except 53B and 54B
  11. yeah at the bottom of the label they say 53B and 54 B respectively I'll see if I can get a photo uploaded
  12. It is on there Robb, they put both tracks together in the one clip
  13. I don't think he was being offensive Paul, many people do not actually know about that 1977 counterfeit and it really does look that part, done at the same time as the Yum Yums counterfeit. So although yours is real, I bet there's people who think they have a real one but don't.
  14. Mick only shrugs his shoulders cos it wasn't him who found it
  15. I keep trying to... "I've got more friends than I've had hot dinners, some of them are losers but the rest of them are winners"
  16. According to Discogs, on the Canyon label: 53 is Swamp Dogg - Total destruction to your mind / Synthetic world 54 is Doris Duke - He's gone / The feeling is right I've got one here, side one is numbered 53 and is Swamp Dogg - Total destruction to your mind, but the other side is numbered 54 and is Doris Duke - He's Gone I know it's not likely to be worth anything but does that sound a bit strange?
  17. Now, now, don't be silly, I take it you haven't heard the Laughing Gnome or anything he recorded after 1980?
  18. Not really Northern but still one of the greatest records of the 60's is that Bowie 45. I sold mine for £250 earlier this year so £500 is way way over the top. But his follow up to that one, Do Anything You Say, really is Northern
  19. I don't know of anyone who's seen it, apart from the photos. But even if it does turn out to be a hoax...it's been fun and interesting and the UK label collecting scene got exciting again.
  20. In mint condition that would go for £500 though - rarest Chess demo
  21. Bugger, I knew it was too good to be true! No stamp..
  22. Blimey! $399! https://www.popsike.com/php/quicksearch.php?searchtext=hi-tones&x=0&y=0
  23. LOL, I agree. Very Frankie Lymon.
  24. Could have guessed the seller without seeing a picture or description - just the price
