  1. So now you have the only original in existence, the Chicago press is the 2nd issue and the St Louis press with no dimples is the 3rd press
  2. I agree with you. Sometimes the mark up is as little as a couple of quid. The idea is to sell the thing so a fiver, a tenner, that's a profit.
  3. We don't know. Nobody knows. And who really cares? What's to stop people saying the St Louis one is the second pressing - which I think it is.
  4. I think Joe Dunlop has to be the most underrated seller in the country, every couple of weeks he puts out a fantastic list, and some of the records he gets I can only dream about, and he's been doing it year after year. And the British stuff he sells...wow...take a bow Joe. * Can I just point out that I didn't start this topic, I wrote it on his sales list topic just as a comment and someone decided to split it and make it into a separate topic. I do like Joe, but not that much that I'd have opened a topic about him
  5. Romey Carr is a cover of The Velvelettes, great picture sleeve

  9. No, DW is the person who owns the license to release the record in the UK officially
  10. It's like drugs though - these people are sellers but they aren't the manufacturers
  11. No it's not Mr Tee
  12. Go and have a word, he's only down the road in Kiddy
  13. Marvin Gaye - What's Goin' On - US Tamla standard single £400 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Northen-Soul-Motown-MARVIN-GAYE-WHAT-S-GOING-ON-NEAR-MINT-/301265766419?pt=UK_Records&hash=item4624d6c813
  14. Think I'd want 300 for Rose Batiste and 200 for Hank Jacobs
  15. No it's not actually John. Not that that would have made any difference...I'd have still asked
  16. Blue label, silver lettering VG++ plays EX, light label wear. I don't think this one even books. Was one for £300 on here a couple of years ago. Any offers please.
  17. It does Andy thanks, I did see those but thought if they haven't actually sold then maybe not worth that much. So £50 then :-)
  18. Never heard of either SAMSON & DELILAH with THE BOSS FOUR - DON'T LISTEN TO YOUR FRIENDS - PITTSBURGH INTERNATIONAL RECORDS and RENA - I LOVE YOUR BEAT - FACTORY BEAT RECORDS (1980) First one is a fairly decent 70's soul cat, second one is a terrible disco / boogie thing cheers Pete
  19. I've got one ready to go and I was going to try £50 though what I can see happening is nobody buying it and I sell it a month later for £40
  20. I have a Three Degrees now and was going to try £15 on it. I had the Carl Douglas, which is rare, but no demand for it. Think I got £30 for that. You'll find out that some websites have records at triple their real values. Best way is to do a search on here and then you'll get an average real world price.
  21. This DJ seems to have a carver of every record ever made.
  22. The problem with the Nina Simone is that it's obviously a stereo cut but it's only playing one channel so most of the vocal is missing, but yeah, it went down okay didn't it (notice he said it was a big sound down South)
  23. Mark, I don't know if you know any different but that was the only time I ever heard that played at Wigan. I didn't know who it was as he didn't say the name of the artist. I didn't hear it again until an allnighter near Walsall in 1989, and then I was told it was Rita & The Tiaras!
  24. Thanks mate and thanks Chris above also
