  1. The Ramblers - So Sad - Trumpet out and out doo wop
  2. Span, you appear to be telling us what you are going to bid on on Ebay
  3. It's on the website at the pre order price!
  4. I've found The Empires on 11 different labels from 1954 to 63, almost certain to be different groups.
  5. To be fair, probably only 3 have been off topic!!!
  6. Shit I forgot to pre order it...
  7. Chalky did you know that if you look at the screen while reading one of your posts and can only see your avatar out of focus, it looks like a large egg :o
  8. You know, people who never post anything but appear once to post a record list then disappear...I've only been on here a week and I've made 176 posts, admittedly most of them are rubbish but at least I've tried to join in. Shame cos it's a great forum, it would be nice if more people were posting IMO.
  9. It's Paul Ross innit?
  10. Surely 'Heartaches' was later than 58????
  11. Billy, The Time is the a side of the above record! What I like about it is the repetitive riff that runs all the way through.
  12. No mate it's on black Chess and also on that weird orangey one - if it was 58 it would be blue/silver I think
  13. No it wasn't, how did you come to that conclusion? It's from 65 or 66!
  14. Damn I answered this in the previous topic but I might as well post it again, please try and hear it, it's great A track I mentioned last week - Baby washington "You could never be mine" (Neptune) this is from 1958 and is superb, I've been plugging it for about 5 years and it would go down great at a venue except it has a messy jazz break right in the middle.

  16. Works both ways though - Betty Lloyd for instance - at one point down to as low as 50 quid, now back up to 200. Also what about that box of Arthur Freeman (Jumbo) that turned up 3 months ago, the bloke put the first two on Buy It Now for $20 because he had no idea what it was!
  17. It's a ska tune mate, I think it might be Shenley Duffus but to be honest I can't remember, I did it in paintshop, they have a very basic animation plug in. I had over 200 red and white Islands before I started selling them off
  18. I'll be what you want (and then it sounds like) birds on a string!!!! Obviously not but thats what it sounds like..
  19. Yeah it's 'stone'
  20. That first line has got to be wrong, I'd guess the last word of the first line is 'stone' or 'storm' but I haven't got the record here unfortunately.
  21. I thought it was "I'll work unending hours" ???
  22. Different artist mate, thats the UK based Geno Washington on all of those tracks
  23. See, I knew I wasn't seeing things, he's changed the advert!!!
