  1. Doh!
  2. Absolutely the worst record played in the last 5 years.
  3. Don't Golden Gate have some connection to a certain dealer with an address in Boston??
  4. The Crow - Your autumn of tomorrow - never known anyone not to either love it or hate it...I love it (surprisingly enough)
  5. Must be a reissue but on a white label Okeh?? Major Lance
  6. A couple of times I made serious cock ups on my list, one was jackie wilson - because of you which I priced at £15 and one was nate Evans on, can't remember, Twinight or something, I'd never heard of it so I stuck £10 on it, apparently it was worth £150 (now £500 in Manships new book!) - but fortunately I've done a lot of people a lot of favours and they tend to remember that, so in both cases people rung me up and although they could have took advantage, they both told me what the record was really worth. I just gave them first shout on the items and sold both for under £50.
  7. Cheers mate. I found the Pzazz one in Manship for £40! Also in the box was the Four Voices on Voice but sadly it was We Live In The Ghetto - still, nice anyway
  8. I bought a job lot of 100 records off this guy, he said they were all soul, they were absolute crap and he must have been laughing his head off, until I found the one good record in there - an original of the International GTO's! Still it works the other way too, the worst was buying 300 Columbia demos blind, when they came they were all either country or easy listening, I don't think I kept one single record, postage cost me about £200!

  15. The original link led to a track that was so awful my ears started to bleed in protest
  16. They should be arrested for that recording
  17. I don't get it - who knows how many copies of anything there are?
  18. They are the same group - also on Capitol and Minit I think
  19. I know but why didn't he just take another picture?
  20. Nice one!!! Best I can remember is getting Rose Brooks - I'm moaning out of the Novelty section for $3, it was listed as the other side which is a bizarre version of They're Coming To Take Me Away. Same section I got Batman At The Go Go on a white demo for, can't remember but no more than $10. Then again, in those days there were only a handful of soulies on Ebay...those were the days
  21. I don't think I could have bit my tongue, I'd have told him where to stick his fiver. Cheeky git. p.s. I'll give you a fiver for it
  22. No I already asked, and paid, he charged $8 postage but I can live with that
