Christ no, I hate the vocal version and wouldn't give it the time of day - and Bari Track is the most "Northern" Northern record ever!

I sold a Ric Tic white demo of this (Festival Time) the other day and it sounded completely different to the Gordy version, the main strings were almost in the background as if it was playing a stereo record but one channel was almost out, bizarre! I thought it was the record player to start with.

The record plays beautifully, crackles before it begins and on the drum intro but then I didn’t hear a sound after that. Certainly an extremely rare record. Doh! I had it all the time. Apparently on a CD called Black Gold - Sought After Soul. Quality sounds very tinny. Still doing nothing for me.

That Appointments isn't anything special is it? Only heard it for the first time on the auction recording, forgot it as soon as I'd heard it. Or is it just me?
