  1. It is, but I always thought it has a really weak chorus compared to the verses....probably just me :-)
  2. Carl - Leave A Little Love - minor UK hit for Lulu on Decca in 1965, US version by Patti Austin on Coral, also done on UK Pye by Terry Anton.
  3. I think that's why he put it in inverted commas, he agrees with you, as do I
  4. Because we can't believe buyers can be so carefree with their money basically when a tiny little bit of work would get them the item for a lot less!
  5. 95% of all records I sell are for other people as well. Just thought I'd point that out.
  6. From my article about how it took me 30 years to find a record, printed elsewhere Go forward now to 1981, and it was my 21st birthday. Me and my then girlfriend Debbie decided to go to Birmingham for a day to do a bit of shopping. Now I don't know Birmingham at all, in fact apart from visiting the Locarno and the old Birmingham Odeon, I've only ever been to the shops there twice in my life. But I somehow managed to find Reddingtons Rare Records. Guess what I found in there then? Yes, it was Rise And Fall and I thought "right you bastard, you've eluded me for almost 10 years, I'm having you this time". Then the bloke behind the counter told me the price. "That's £5 please mate" "£5??? Are you joking? It's only worth a quid" "Well go and find one somewhere else for a quid then" "I f-cking will, it's all overpriced in here anyway" So I stormed out of the shop due to this appalling customer service and left the record in there.
  7. Sold it for £150 a month ago. Mint as well.
  8. I see Pat Brady also had a release on the label
  9. Very true. The story, not the fact.
  10. I think the OOTP one actually misses part of the middle break
  11. I think the backing track is great, but just can't get over his voice, especially at the end of the second verse when he tries for a note he can't reach. This is way pre-Wigan Jock, it was played on it's UK release in 1968, hence there being a lot of UK Vocalion copies about. Last release on the label I think.
  12. The strangest thing of all is how it ever got released, one of the worst vocals you'll ever hear
  13. I don't like it either Kev. Start of the bad times at Wigan.
  14. Dave Mac claimed that he and Siz both found it on the same day in different parts of Manchester, met up later to see what they'd found and both had the same record!
  15. I'd prefer the instrumental to be on both sides thanks
  16. I sold the original 1st issue demo about 3 weeks ago for £100+ It is very, very rare.
  17. Cos I nicked it off you 30 years ago?
  18. I still get the urge to do a magazine or something like that from time to time so this sort of helps me dismiss the idea as folly!

  22. Garry if I can do it, you can do it, especially if you already have your music on your computer, you only need one piece of software to create the continuous MP3 file, and then you upload it, it's so simple.
  23. No, it was never booted Robb. Maybe it's Canadian Capitol?
  24. No can't agree mate, just listening to something like Jr Walker playing Cleo's Mood for instance, it's soul
