That was fucking amazing! Where the hell did that come from???? Never heard it...jealous
-
Bizarre that - everyone knew this back in the 70's, yet the people behind that film refused to believe that anyone knew until they announced it on the film!!!
-
Dunno, but Touch Of Venus instrumental is on there in fantastic quality as well, no Tainted Love though.
-
??? possible duplicate post
-
Instrumental version if no file attached it's on the duplicate of this post
-
Have a look at this, it's quite lengthy but worth it...about time the tables were turned Scammer
-
Slight correction, the male version of Upper Hand is supposed to be Bo Fowler not Bob.
-
It's Gerri Hall - Who can I run to...I once had both versions of this at the same time, I don't think you can tell the difference til you play them. It just came out on Grapevine though so that'll do me for a tenner
-
I'll get you one for £15 Dave. Trust me. :graynone:
-
Nice one mate, even I can understand those instructions. I know where the files are, and it still exists, so I'll give it a go and let you know what happens. Thanks again Pete

Also you shouldn't underestimate the pulling power of I'm A Celebrity..get Me Out Of Here

Anyone familiar with the workings of Microsoft Outlook? Problem is, yesterday outlook decided to stop letting me access it and I had to make a new profile, therefore the .pst folder is not accessable, all my email have gone and so have all my contacts. I think it's because there was too much in it including several full length audio tracks. Anyway I have a repair tool which enables you to access this original file and shrink it, but I can't get it to work. If anyone knows anything about this could they possibly tell me how to get my original outlook inbox profile back? The whole message says the file c:\\windows\local settings\application data\microsoft\outlook\outlook.pst could not be accessed. Access is denied.

I've tried t-cut and it didn't work. Tell you what does work though. Gene Robertson started me off on this, I tweaked it a bit. Only works on UK records, especially those on EMI's labels (HMV, Columbia, Parlophone, Tamla Motown etc) Coat the record with silver polish then hold it over a boiling kettle, rotating it quickly as you go. The steam takes the top surface off the vinyl and makes it look mint. Wipe of the excess and repeat when necessary.

Had a mint British one last list, couldn't sell it, took £20 for it...shame, especially as I paid £25

I have a lot of experience in this field having successfully murdered 22 reggae and ska singles by washing them in the DISHWASHER earlier this year. Some came out bent in half! What I did with the most extreme was to cover them with a wet tea towel and flatten them using a hot iron. Then when they resembled a record again, I put the record inbetween 2 upturned dinner plates, put them back in the dishwasher and ran the cycle again, the heat almost flattened them so I finished them off with the tea towel / iron combo again. The results of this were ok. I saved about 5 records and they are playable. On the downside, I ruined over £300 worth of records in the first place. I tried the oven method, inbetween 2 plates of glass, the record melted and the glass cracked, but obviously I had it too hot. Conclusion - I'm a twat for cleaning records in a dishwasher.

OK Dave. £65 ok?

I use your emthod but also palmolive hand soap works brilliant, wet the record, rub the soap in then play it wet, watch the crap come out of the grooves...only works with one type of soap though, I'll try and remember which. I had a Lenny Curtis with like a dart-hole in it that made it jump 2 grooves, I melted a tiny bit of wax into it and it recut the groove, played perfectly. Also there was something, can't remember what, but it had an infuriating jump so I used a magnifying glass and cut the scratch back into the groove using a paper cutter/scalpel.

Pressing - just meant it was available as a reissue for £1 in 1975 - pressing is just a generalisation. This means it's as common as the Salvadors or George Blackwell pressings...that's all.
-
But this is on someones sales list on the for sale section Porgy & the Monarchs My heart cries for you / Think twice (HEY GIRL) Light brown label release with the ace & previously unreleased 'HEY GIRL' on the B side. Musicor 1221 £75 that's £75 for a PRESSING! You could buy this off me - when I have it - for £15 maximum. Sometimes peoples sales lists astonish me.

What, that picture? It's a f*cking tumbleweed, what's it look like? It represents a total lack of response from anyone to Mike's excellent suggestion... do you like my new avatar by the way?
-
Could you get Mike to stop typing in the style where he misses out every 4th word?
