I like soul, I like pop, and I like poppy soul...I prefer that to deep soul or slow soul - I don't know if everyone's been following the Low Rider Scene thread but the music on there is amongst the most boring I've ever heard, I couldn't take more than 10 minutes of it that dirgy ballad crap. Anyway one of my all time favourite records is by a white pop singer, Joanie Sommers..

I think "What" stands up as a classic Northern dancer.

It's Northern but it's as poppy as something like Paula Parfitt.

I'll have to recant my statement that it's low fi, I just played it and it sounds perfectly fine. Now I just have to think of the right price.
