  1. Yeah, it's just the original with the backing speeded up and the vocal slowed down
  2. I did say right from the start that I was just messing about so to re-iterate that point, I am just messing about there's not suddenly going to be loads of versions of old tracks circulating, well if there is they will have come off this site because that's the only place I've sent them to. I jsut thought, if it puts a new slant onto an old tune then it's not hurting anyone, I'm not making any money off it and did I mention I was just messing about?

  4. A record is a record - a cd is a cd - there's no comparison....even one of those horrible 70's and 80's style plastic injection-moulded label 45's is better than a cd, aesthetically I mean
  5. I know, I was just about to go and make some tea and I thought I'd just click 'view new posts' and there it was!
  6. Definitely.
  7. Oh for goodness sake, where's the bloody file gone now
  8. It is, isn't it???
  9. This is actually pretty good
  10. Fast version
  11. Oh, I also slowed down the vocals on Freddie Chavez - They'll never know why, now he sounds black!
  12. Er..it's me...I just speeded the vocals up on the original and left the backing track the correct speed...I'm tatting about on a new pc program I got...still trying to make a woman sound like a man, I got Gladys Knight to sound just like Levi Stubbs but the backing singers sounded like they were singing at 33rpm
  13. I'll try another upload mate
  14. not too bad
  15. This is doing my head in. I make the mp3, I convert to ra, then try to send that up, says not acceptable, so change the name to .rm, says that is not acceptable, so change it to wav, and so on...
  16. Sadly they no longer exist, my girlfriend threw them down the tip after I told her I was going to put them on Ebay as 'death row memorabilia'
  17. I'm definitely bringing the records and the decks...I'm sure all will be welcome
  18. You're evil
  19. Any way of expanding on that idea do you think. Like if we had say 3 or 4 hours I wouldn't expect everyone to put up with my stuff all that time, it wouldn't be like that!
  20. This is actually a full length track, not sure why only 30 seconds came up
  21. Well I was hoping to have a kind of chill out saturday, thats why I mentioned about having a little space to play some rocksteady stuff, I can bring some decks and an amp and that but the chalet I'm in is metered so that probably wouldn't be the best idea.
  22. Recorded by Danny Moore's kid

  24. Basically what it is, it's the original version by Bobby Treetop, I speeded the vocal up but kept the backing track at the same speed as the oriignal...this can bring about some really interesting results, if nobody minds I'll send a few up, this isn't a serious attempt to make new versions or anything it's just a laugh....done a nice midtempo version of Rita & The Tiaras, a slowed down version of She Tried To Kiss Me and a few more
  25. This is weird, it won't let me attach it to a PM for you and there doesn't seem to be an option to add it to an email via the site Mike...
