  1. I can live with that
  2. Martin - what an absolutely fantastic site. Well done mate!
  3. Ady without doubt the booklets and sleeve notes are worth the price of admission on their own, I wasn't saying that, I just meant Goldmine did a Mirwood 22 tracker or something and odd tracks have been slipping out on cd's for years that's all, I was just a bit surprised to hear Kent were putting out Mirwood material. I thought of one that hadn't ever been reissued in any guise whatsoever but I'm not sure if it's 'real' - the instrumental of Don't Pretend without the added Simon Soussan strings on top. I have this on a very old emidisc but it would be nice to hear a great recording of it.
  4. Why not?
  5. So she has no talent and it's all marketing and hype right? When I first heard her I thought she had a great voice, simple as that, I didn't think to find out whether she was black or white because I make my opinion on the sound not the colour of the skin. No doubt if she was black you'd be asking the powers that be to make her a saint. And as for 'soulful newly released product'....has there been any in the last 25 years? I really really hate the reverse racism on this site.
  6. Look, at least I'm having a go
  7. Actually thats not a problem - I could just find a cd with Send Him Back, record to the hard drive and then burn it from there onto a rewriteable dvd, so there's only one track on there..then record that back and fiddle about with it. Oh I'm so sharp sometimes I could cut myself
  8. No please go ahead with suggestions, if I've got it I'll have a go. Faster or slower. Be nice to hear Pat Powdrill "Do It" at a slower pace I reckon. The only problem with this software is that it will only allow you to do the first 2 tracks of any cd unless you buy yhr full version. I'm having a laugh with it but don't know if I want to pay £30 for it to be honest, and I can't find a serial number or crack for the program anywhere.
  9. Or not, maybe
  10. No, just download it and do what you like with it!
  11. Probably sound like this
  12. Er...no, I only made it about 5 minutes ago
  13. Faster backing, normal vocal
  14. At the age of 3 and 4 I was always playing my Mums records, I used to love 'theme from Exodus' and 'Onward christian soldiers' for some reason (though that was probably my Nans), plus before I could read they used to ask me to put a particular Elvis record on and I'd get it right every time - by remembering the shape of the words in the title presumably. F*cking child prodigy I was, it all went wrong once I turned 5.
  15. Good job she didn't ask for the B side of that one then!!! (It was called 'Oh Shit')
  16. I was waiting to have a word with you mate but the lady talking in my left ear wouldn't shut up!
  17. I'd happily spend an evening speaking to you and Karen but no more weekenders for me too many boring bits
  18. Could you just try to be a little more patronising
  19. I also thought it was Aretha Franklin. Joss Stone has a truly brilliant soulful voice. I'd never have guessed she was white in a million years
  20. You'd last 2 minutes
  21. Because 70's is shit basically. I keept telling you.
  22. The 50's tracks have a lot more to do with Northern Soul than the 70's tracks. Having been exposed to more R&B than I've ever heard before, I'd say it's the way forward. At least these records are played on real instruments and actually have some 'soul'
