I have a few like that but they need a bit of digging out. What I really wanted to publicise was the rocksteady stuff, not the ska, because I find the group harmony sound absolutely awesome - they are very influenced by the likes of The Impressions. If 'Queen of the minstrels' is up on my next 6 pack you'll see what I mean.

I am convinced ska will spill over soon because Jamaican r&B records are picking up a lot of interest, as is Jamaican soul. See what you think of this...

That worked perfectly Sebastian, many thanks....my new heavy heavy ska mix is now available at the link below Ska here that should get you bopping round the office. I'll re-do the rocksteady one now.

I just uploaded a ska mix and now it's going too fast!!! OK I am going to do it again using your recommended settings.

I know, I just asked for a bit of help, trouble is, it plays perfectly on mine then when I send it up, it's gone slow. I recorded it as a wav on atomix mp3, then used advanced mp3 converter to resize it and make the mp3, settings were min bitrate 64 max bitrate 320 sampling rate 44100 this making sense to anyone? Are they incorrect settings? yesterday my northern mix played too fast but today it is playing at the right speed!

I think it'll happen...don't know when, but I honestly think there will be some ska and or rocksteady played at venues in the near future. They've gone as far as they can with R&B, it's the next step.

But once again it is playing slow on my pc, could someone check it to see if it's slow on theirs too please? It's called Pete's Soulful Rocksteady Mix vol.1, thanks. Anyone got any ideas what I am doing wrong??

OK just so I know: if I do a 45 minute or whatever mix live onto cd, then I put that on the pc and turn it into an mp3 file right...what prog would I use to split it up into four parts? -

Could I just ask you to be patient with me because these take ages to do - it's now 2.30 and I started at 11 and only have 4 done so far - this is because I burn them at 1x speed, meaning they stay extremely stable when played on dvd machines...I could burn them at 8x but they may not work in some machines. Won't be more than 2 to 3 days but don't expect them all tomorrow I thank you

Couldn't say to be honest, I thought they made one of those promo films but I'm probably wrong - though Wigan had either not started or only just started when that came out hadn't it so wouldn't have thought they'd filmed in there.
