  1. Local 1st issue maybe?
  2. Agreed, and I charge exactly the same. I won 3 oldies last week, from a seller in the UK, and he sent 3 separate invoices each charging £2.50 postage, obviously I said he was having a laugh and he said it was to pay someone for doing the post - heard that one before and I gave it the same reply as before. I got the postage down to £1.50 for the three, but there are many people I bet who wouldn't have argued and just paid up!
  3. Heres a bit of info mate: "Moon Williams, the 27 year old East Ender, must surely be one of the most exciting soul singers to emerge in the country for many years. With dedicated guidance from his producer Kaplan Kaye, Moon Williams is now set to release his latest, and very commendable single. "I'm going to make an honest woman out of you" is a sophisticated soul sound, written by the very talented producer/singer Biddu, and one which will now bring Moon Williams the recognition he so richly deserves" I remember this guy being on tv in the 70's on variety programs, the musical guest in the middle of sketch shows etc.
  4. You get to a point where it makes you so angry, you just leave the negative and don't care what they say back. I've got something like 2000 positives so why worry about 7 negatives.
  5. There's no picture of him on this sleeve unless he looks like the man in the moon just a biog and a cartoon
  6. Thankis for the info everyone. I'll consider your offer Kenny I'll send a sound clip up later on ok
  7. I keep telling people that this is one of my all time favourite records and nobody ever believes me! Brilliant.
  8. I know this guy had a few records on DJM but does anyone know the name of the one (or ones) that are currently being played? I have one called I Wanna Make An HOnest Woman Out Of You on DJM 10693, it's a very good (if there is such a thing) uptempo 'modern' dancer but not sure if thats the right one. Comes with a promo pic sleeve thing, and obviously is no use to me!
  9. I know, I pressed reply without actually typing anything
  10. They should have sleeves mate. As for the Intentions, they were a white group on Philips weren't they - from Philadelphia...that record dealer Dennis Brennan was in the group.
  11. Thought it was £75. No wonder I had so many calls on it
  12. Gaye, can I just mention that I am in the smaller room playing ska and rocksteady and Jamaican R & B, NOBODY has ever attempted that round here, if that's not being different I don't know what is. Granted, it might be a disaster, but I think it's worth a try and quite a few people have been in touch about it.
  13. I changed the wording on the advert slightly... Studio 1 - The who's who of Black Country Soul Jocks Friday April 8th The Dudley Club Waterloo Rd, off Wellington Rd, Dudley. 14. Stop saying 'ppl' or I will be forced to smack you :graynone:
  15. Can't believe these are finally getting an official release. I'll be buying these. The videos cost about £80 back in 96.
  16. I do. The one on the Kent lp is a different take to the one on the Scepter 45.
  17. Just rub it then why dont you ... you've got all my best records ... at least they went to a good home Sam Williams, Monique, still, they're only records
  18. I'm definitely going to be doing that Dave, though the organisers haven't actually been in touch since it was first mooted.
  19. She made an album Yeah OK Dazz, it's ok, but I think I'd rather have a Johnny Caswell myself. I sold Ian another record that was in his rarest of the rare, can't remember just now but it's on one of the Goldmine Millionaires cd's, anyway a few months later he's on the phone to me telling me about this fantastic record he paid £500 for at Stoke and I said 'you lying git, you had that off me for £150' - and he did! Oh and the classic - I had jenny Wren on UK Fontana and didn't want to sell it so Ian twisted my arm and bought it for £125, when he came to sell it he told Mick Smith that I'd ripped him off with the price despite him begging me to flog it to him. Strange chap that Ian. Can't help but like him though.
  20. Pete S

    Dick Jordan

You could be missing it if you're searching on ebay because the Piccadilly copy has the name spelt as JORDON not Jordan. Did you have that copy off me Warren? That came off Ebay - 2 quid including postage
  21. Might have known you had it must have been 200 then
  22. It's a white pop stomper and coming from me that's a radical statement
  23. You're right. Most I've ever seen this for is £25. Good record though.
